Instant Rewards Network Reviews

  • Sep 8, 2014

I joined instant rewards on 9-6 as a way to make addtional money. I followed their instructions carefully and completed 3 "offers" in order to earn 1 "credit", at which point I would be eligible to start making making money.

The "credit" for my third "offer" never showed up so I emaIled their support team. They were completely unhelpful and sent replies indicating that they hadn't even read my emails.

I have now spent $9.95, $1.99 and $1.00 on said "offers" and have been told they cannot help me because the company the "offer" came from has decided not to post my "credit"

Clearly this is a scam in which they prey on people who are trying to make extra money.

First off this is not a complaint against the IFW (Incentivized Freebie Website) industry which I am a part of and made a lot of money from, this complaint is against a particular member of this industry the IRN or Instant Rewards Network.

I joined up with IRN last week because I saw some advantages to their program over the program I have been working and decided to complete the offers necessary to get credited. When I completed the second offer, I didn't receive credit for it and filed a report with IRN. This is not unusual, I have done this before with other companies, what happened next, however, was unique.

They came back with a credit denial because I used a PO Box in my profile when signing up. They claim that in big red letters on the sign up page that they specifically do not allow PO Boxes. This is standard in the industry so technically I am at fault for this infraction. However, in my defense I had signed up many months ago when I was a newbie and unaware of this f aux pas. Also, on all the other sites I have dealt with they clearly state when you type in your profile that PO Boxes are not allowed, in the IRN profile sheet there is no such statement which would be fairly easy to add.

The other aspect of this is that me putting a PO Box in my profile address has nothing to do with me completing the offer and being credited. The advertiser never sees that information. What IRN has done is latched on to this as an excuse to deny me a credit. They still can, and I assume will, get paid from the advertiser since that is the business they are in. As for me, I'm left out in the cold. So basically they've found a way for them to get paid but not pay me or the person that referred me, not cool.

What's worse is that they really haven't tried to resolve the issue. The best I can describe the customer service response is they are hostile towards me. They have even gone so far as to imply that I am committing fraud and put a hold on my account. All this because I put a PO Box in the address field instead of my street address. Keep in mind that this company expects me to send them customers as referrals, that's how they stay in business. Of course there is no reason not to expect them to treat my referrals with the same hostility and contempt that they have treated me, so I have decided not to do business with them.

Another beef I have is that their website is decidedly not user friendly. I won't go into too much detail, but obviously they could take a couple minutes and put a label on their profile page that PO Boxes are not allowed and putting one in the address will cause you to be denied credit and accused of fraud.

Fortunately there are lots of IFW's out there to choose from and after this experience I looked around and found one that is more suitable for my needs. If you want to get into this business I would suggest you look around also find another company. Stay away from IRN.
