Worst School Ever

Don't even think about coming here, it's just a way for them to take their money. They have a nice itinerary and everything set up, but then you basically learn a few things you would learn on forum. The teachers have no idea what they are talking about, none of them have done any real film, only small independent projects. I thought this would be good to add to my university degree in film, but this is for 5 year olds. The equipment they have is very old and low budget. They say they have better gear before you sign up, but actually to use it you have to pay more to rent it. This place is a joke.

Just look at the student films from all the IAFT campuses and you can see how bad it is.

My son enrolled in a film class at IAFT and it was the worst choice our family ever made. Not only were classes cancelled due to teachers not showing up but we were LIED to from the very start.

the C.O.O. of the school is JIM YORK and he told our son that if he enrolls he will promise that Warner brothers will offer him a paid internship...of course that was a LIE. We paid more then 13,000 dollars in cash because the school has no financial aid.

Iaft has no financial aid because of so many many complaints the federal government will not accredit the school. Our admissions rep told our family that there pay checks bounce all the time due to lack of funds and the teachers race down to the bank to cash there check so it won't bounce. He also told us that JIM YORK trains them to LIE to the families about job placement.

there are so many incredible film schools in Los Angeles but stay FAR FAR away from iaf and the fraud JIM YORK...it is a rip off.
