We have Anthem Blue Cross. Dr. Becker is part of our plan coverage. On multiple occasions my son has come in to see him. He will spend exactly 5 minutes with you. That's it. He came in with extremely high blood pressure and was diagnosed in urgent care with an ulcer. Dr. Becker's response..... congratulations. Really? Is that what you went to medical school for? His other response? Cut down on alcohol and come back in a year. Our family has a history of high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Did he ask my son if he had any family history of high blood pressure, no. The reason he was diagnosed at the urgent care with the ulcer? Dr. Becker wasn't available to see him for four weeks. Even when I told the nurse that he was discharging blood.... still the doctor wasn't available to see him. Go to the urgent care then if you can't wait, was her response.
There were other muliple times when I had to deal with Dr. Becker and his staff who is also very rude. Never once has he spent the time to speak to us about my son's illness. Well congratulations Dr. Becker, I will be writing to the medical board about your behavior.
