I received an email reply stating that the charge for shipping and handling from Victoria, Texas to a suburb of Anchorage Alaska was $110.60. I declined, stating that the most I had ever paid for shipping for a long gun from the lower 48 to Alaska was less than $45.00 and gave alternative and less costly shipping methods than UPS. The next email I received from them was a dismissal. This tells me that the company is charging at least $65.00 for their so-called "handling" fee. In the future, I will ignore any advertisements from James Wayne Firearms.
