Jason Sottilo Owner of Fat Boy's Automotive and Transmission Repair Reviews

  • Dec 20, 2014

Jason Sottilo is the owner and operator of Fat Boy's Automotive and Transmission Repair at 309 North Redbud ave #D in Broken Arrow, OK. I found Jason Sottilo via Craigslist when looking for a rebuilt 4L60E transmission for my 2000 Silverado. I spoke with Jason at 918-508-9938 through text messages off and on for roughly a week before purchasing a rebuilt 4L60E transmission from him. A few weeks later I went to install the freshly rebuilt transmission I purchased from Jason when I found several issue. A few mounts were busted, the shift shaft was bent, and there was a soft plug in the transmission pan. I sent Jason a message about the issues along with photos documenting what I found. Jason wouldnt agree to give me my money back but said he will repair the issue, stating "its a 6 min repair".

On 11-05-2014 I messaged Jason mid morning to advise him I was bring the transmission to his shop in the early afternoon, Jason wanted a round about time so I told him most liekly between 12-2PM and said that would be fine.

Around 1pm I sent Jason a message telling him we will be loading up the transmission soon to bring it to him, Jason never responded. On the highway roughly 10 mins from his shop I sent him anouther message telling him I was not far away, but he still never responded. I arrived at his shop roughly about 2:20PM to find that the bay door was down, the shop door was locked, and a closed sign. I immediately messaged Jason telling him I am there and still received no response, I knocked on the shop door and called his number but he wasn't responding. My fiance sent him a text as if she was looking for a transmission and he promptly repsonded to her text all while he was ignoring my messages and phone calls. After an hour and half Jason messages back stating he was there the whole time, which he might of been there if he was hiding since he knew I was suppose to be there. I told him I was bringig the transmission and to be available this time, which he was and accepted the transmission back to repair it and return it to me working the next day.

After a few days goes by he messages me stating he was getting a transmission pan Saturday morning(11-8-2014) and would deliver my transmission to me once it is done. From that point we had hit and miss conversations about when my transmission would be ready and then when he was bringing it to me. Some days he wouldn't respond to my text at all. Finally tired of the lies and wasted time waiting on Jason to bring me my transmission I tell him I will come and pick it up. I messaged Jason almost daily asking when he will be available for me to pick up the transmission and every time I got more and more excuses. on 12-1-2014 Jason asked me if I would just like my money back since he was unable to get my transmission or be available for me to pick it up. I accepted the offer of getting my money, which truth be told was my first choice all of long being I don't trust Jason after all the lies/issues I had encountered with him.

A couple days later on 12-3-2014 he was unable to return my money because he said he didnt have it and our conversation went in a non-productive direction. At this point I went public on Facebook and posted my story on not only my wall but the wall of my local news stations to gain "exsposure." I researched Jason and followed him on craigslist, upon doing so I found 2 other people that have recently sued Jason in court and won their cases and other people posting on craigslist about Jason scamming them like he was doing me. I created an "Exposed - Fat Boy's Automotive and Transmission Repair Broken Arrow" community page on Facebook and created my own 'beware' post on craigslist warning others about Jason and his business. Since thta point I have been contacted by at least 6 indivuals scammed by this man in the months of October - present date on primarily transmissions and few other repairs. On 12-16-2014 I messaged Jason on facebook, He had changed numbers to avoid everybody he has scammed, and told him I was still waiting on my money. He tells me he will not be giving me my money back that it he will only warranty the transmission, which is not what we last agreed on. I challanged him by telling him I want my transmission the weekend and tells me he sold it.

As of 12-19-2014 I am without my money and no transmission. Not only is it not right to keep someones money and the transmission but you sell the transmission I paid for. I have publicly shared screenshots of all my text communications and instant message messages on my Facebook page/Exposed page to be transparent while making these claims, so there would be no denyng the situation on his behalf.
