My dad paid 1400.00 back in 1995-96 to have me attend this John Casablancas Modeling agencey after I responded to an ad in a magazine that I had seen. i attended the school in beaverton with the promise of a two year modeling contract after completion. I recently after all these years wrote a letter to the school requesting my certificate of completion and got the letter returned to me saying no such business at this address. So when I went online to search out a new address thinking that I may have gotten it wron I seen this Rip Off Report site where a lady had filed a complaint saying that she was ripped off. Knowing this I felt compelled to tell my story to. So here I am 1400.00 and several years later with no possibility of ever getting the copy or report saying that I attended. Someone should seriously sue this company. 79 reports later there is obviously domething wrong. Someone should speak up that can afford a lawyer.
back in 94 i was at the fair and they had a drawing although i did not win the drawing they said one of there scouts saw me and well i got a call asking me to come in so i did , they said that they wanted me to go right then and there on a photo shoot, I told thm that i didnt feel i was ready so they asked me if i wanted to take some classes that i would have to pay for so i did , i paid 1000.00 bucks went through 10 weeks of training , which involved , photo shoots head shots body shots and yes you had to pay for those 50.00 bucks to get the pictures , any ways we also did commercials and and did a run way show for the very last class, we had was told to bring family friends for us to do our runway skills , we had 3 out fits to wear during this show. so we had 2 minuets to change and change our hair ect, and then to get back in line to walk the run way, after all was said and done , we all got our diplomas and our own agents , we had to go out and ask for photographers to take test shots and those was free, then we take them to our agent and he or she puts them together along with the photos from all the photo shoots they did with you , then send them to other scouts , i had lots of call backs but none that paid the big bucks 38 buck to be a stand in a movie whether you are there 10 minuets or 10 hrs, going out of state to New York for a days worth of advertisement was 2000.00 in your pocket at the end of the day .. that is what they claimed in there books ... they also made us buy all new make up with the colors they say match your skin tone , no sun bathing , no colored towels hand towel wash clothes ect , sheet , bedding had to all be white no colors cause the color can bleed on your skin.. not sure if they was just trying to make us spend money or not but ... they also wanted some of the other girls to lose weight , my measurements at that time was 35,24,35 and they never told me i had to lose weight , i was already a size 2... any ways i had turned down a few jobs cause they didnt pay well enough for me to travel that far. and then i got pregnant and had to tell my agent i couldnt model any more cause i am high risk pregnancy, they told me i would be good with them for the rest of my life .. well Looks fade people gain weight and it does not last for life, any ways needless to say i never went back. ... never made a dime, had lots of fun doing all that they teach you , an experience i will never for get , and never stayed in touch with any of the people that was in my class, oh yes i graduated in the Advanced class... oh and i wonder if all modeling agency's make you use white towels and hand towels and wash cloths ?
