I am a single mom of three children and was fighting for over 50k in back child support. I scrapped together $2500, hired an attorney that I thought was going to fight for my rights.
Instead he took the money and blew me off for almost a year, he didnt even put himself on as attorney of record until 6 months in the case. He hires only sexy young girls to work for him, none of which have any idea about the legal system. They simply answer the phone and take message after message... which you will never receive a return call from them.
I never recieved one piece of mail from that law office in a year of them representing me. They actually picked up and moved thier offices from Longwood to Orlando and didnt notify me. I was totally supprised when I found them two months later.
All attorneys try to drag things out to collect more money, but this group really wasnt doing anything, no court filings, no motions filed and it was so bad that the oppossing counsel thought I was representing myself and started sending paper work directly to me.
Needless to say I finally got my day in court and becuase my attorney was unprepared and his horrible staff failed to notify me... I missed the hearing and my 50K in child support because of thier lack of communication. He went to the hearing and objected to nothing on my behalf. I believe it was done out of spite, because I had sent a letter to his office point out his failures as my attorney over the previous year and the failures of his staff. ( which i believe are just girls hired for his personal interest and weekend company) Not one of them have a clue what the hell is going on in a law office.
He did not earn one of the 2500 dollars he was paid. I cant believe someone of his calibur is allowed to practice law in the state of FL and whats really said is the every day person seeking help gets screwed again!!
Clint Johnson in my book is a horrible family lawyer and god can only help any of his criminal clients....
