The Joy of Living home took in our elderly Uncle who was a single man with no children. The couple who runs the home, convinced our elderly confused uncle to put them in authority of his Will/Estate and to add them as beneficiaries. They changed his Will 3 seperate times to their benefit. When our Uncle passed away they were assigned 1/3 of the Will. They used our Uncle's finances/checking account during his stay in their home to their benefit - charging him exhorbitantly and paying themselves cash from his account. All of our Uncles' possessions that had any value, gold watch, jade ring, leather jacket, flat screen tv, were either unaccounted for or claimed by them. They also cared for our Uncle's brother in their private home next door that was not even licensed for care just to take in more money. When that Uncle died, they falsified his death certificate so it would not show that he died in their home, an unlicensed care facility. After this Uncle's death is when we learned they had made themselves executor and heirs to our remaining living Uncle. They are con-artists and know how to work the system. They will lie, cheat, steal and deceive in order to gain control of their client's money and assets. Joyce the owner is a great actress in portraying she is loving and caregiving. She is truley only in this business to claim the assets of her clients. I would not recommend their elder care for anyone. They need to be shut down for Elder Financial Abuse, Elder Emotional Abuse, Misappropriation of Funds and plain out Theft!
