On April 2, 2014 Juan came to my home and picked up 1957 chevy front bumper, bumper bullets, grill bar and taillights. He also picked up 1956 Mercury taillights, trunk bar and hood ornament. When we talked about price I told him I can buy new grill bar and taillights at the same price. But he said they wouldn't be original so he agreed to chrome all my original parts. He said all the pitting would be taken care of.
The 1956 Mercury had a crack on one of the wings and he said it would be fixed. The taillights had pitting and that too would be taken care of.He said the parts would be returned in 2 weeks but never came. My buddy and myself wanted the parts back before the first weekend in May so we could go on the Route 66 Fun Run out of Seligman Arizona. The only part received was the chevy front bumper with good chrome but it is aftermarket.
After numerous phone calls with promises our parts would be returned in time all communications stopped. Only after my wife called and said we were going to contact the police did he return our call and the parts would be there by Monday(minus the bullets) which they were but it was too late for the Fun Run.The following is the condition of the parts received: All cast parts have pitting and sanding marks showing thru chrome. Mercury Parts now have nice chromed pit marks and hood ornature crack shows thru.
His drivers license #(((redacted))), drives a 4dr Dodge truck (((redacted))).
We are going to contact the Attorney Generals of Cal. and Az. plus the police. We want our original factory Chevy parts back.
