(Kona, Hawaii) - I used to work for KBXtreme until I was ripped off by a co-worker, probably the manager. All I hear are bad things from current & ex-employees. Overpriced drinks, underpaid staff, managers who discriminate, all reasons why I will NEVER go to this ""family"" fun center again. Be sure to watch your valuables if you go...
A self-touted ""family fun center"", KBXtreme is anything but that. If you like to be discriminated against, stolen from and then yourself accused of theft, then by all means, visit this business and give them your hard earned money.
Two years after walking out for being stolen from, I am still being discriminated against. The latest incident happened tonight, April 26th, 2014 before my partner was supposed to sing in the Hawaiian Idol contest. We arrived and the second I walked in, two managers told me I wasn't allowed to be in there...when I had just visited a week before to support my friend's singing without any incident like this...
I was told that I have been 86'd from the property even though I know that I did nothing wrong to deserve the discrimination...when asked to present the paperwork stating the reason, they refused. Go figure...apparently they are still making things up.
General manager Lohea Merola, and the stooge Calvin Higa are the two main reasons this place has gone downhill. Every time I run into an old co-worker, I hear the same story...""I finally quit because they are the worst employers ever"".
Save yourself the trouble (and the extra money) by skipping this business and going to the next.
