Lavish Skin Care Reviews

Ordered a trial product. Don't uses as it doesn't seem to work. Company keeps charging my bank account and I have no way to contact them to discontinue.

  • Feb 4, 2015

I ordered the product on line. was told it would $4.95 for shipping and free product trial. I was charged $89.73. I returned the product. they refused to refund me. Called twice and spoke to a Cynthia on 1.29.15 and cancelled my order. got another shipment for $89.73. they refused to credit my account even though both orders were returned unopened.

HUGE Rip Off

I too fell for this scam. I thought I was ordering a free sample of Derma Bright for $4.95 and Lavish for $4.95.. I did not realized that if I didn't return the product that I would be charged $88.28 and $89.73.. One month passed, and to my surprise and I got another container of each.. Again for a charge of $88.28 and $89.73.. They somehow made this all look legitimate by making it look like an offer from PNC Bank.. They must have stolen the bank logo, images of smartly dressed business people and all of that to make it look real.. I can't believe in a short time I have paid $356 for some skin care location that is probably not better than anything else out there.. Please, please don't fall for this.. Derma Bright customer service: 877-370-0392. Lavish customer service 877-637-4555.. Reading the comments above, it sounds like there is no point in trying to get any money back.. I'm just going to chalk this up to experience.

Ellen Degeness had on internet confession of not using cover girl, clicked & it went to lavish skin derma bright free trial offer. Rec'd samples and on 1/5/15 noticed $196.00 taken out of my checking account. Today 2/2/15 I rec'd another shipment, no pkg slip or any phone # so I could contact them, I'm afraid this is going to happen every month. Please help me!

I registered for a free 14 day trial of Lavish Skin Care and Derma Bright before realizing it is a subscription service. The ad stated, pay shipping and handling only. Upon checking my credit card account only minutes later, I discovered the shipping and handling payments listed as "subscription continuity". I called the Lavish Skin Care consumer service immediately, explained I did not know this was a subscription and wanted to cancel. I was informed that although it had only been minutes since I registered, I could not cancel until after the 14 day trial. I then called my credit card company to dispute charges after which I called the Derma Bright consumer service number. I got a recording which instructed to press 1 to cancel service, I did, and then received a message stating my credit card was just charged an additional $44.14 for early termination, Keep in mind it was only minutes since I registered for free trial, nothing had been sent or received. I cancelled the credit card used in this transaction. Stay away from Lavish Skin Care and Derma Bright free trial.

THIEVES

I TOO ORDERED "SAMPLES" ONLY FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING THEN I WAS CHARGED

$88.00 FOR EYE PRODUCT AND $89.00 FOR SKIN PRODUCT. THEY USED OPRAH WINFREY'S NAME AND MANY OTHER ACTRESSES INCLUDING POSTING PICTURE OF THE STARS. I SUGGEST WE ALL WRITE TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IN SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA AS WELL AS THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS OFFICE, NUMBERS YOU CAN LOCATE ON THE INTERNET. THIS IS CRIMINAL!!! ALSO EMAIL OPRAH WINFREY, RENEE ZILLWEGER, AND SEVERAL OTHERS WHICH SITE I CANNOT LOCATE. GO FOR IT...I AM!!!

The pop up offer appear after buying a JetBlue ticket. It said that only have to pay $4.95 for shipment and after 14 days my account was billed for 89.37

There was no number or where else to call to cancel subscription.

In my opinion this is totally a scam because after I called them, they say they will reimbursed only 79.00 because the charge a fee for taking a product back.

Very deceptive practice

I visited my bank's website and a page popped up offering a variety of products free if I paid S&H, as a reward for being a customer. The only thing that appealed was the Lavish skincare product. I ordered what was advertised as a free sample plus S&H. There was no indication anywhere that this would be a recurring shipment. When the product arrived there was no indication on the invoice that I would be billed $89.73 in 14 days if I did not cancel. I did not notice the charge on Dec 15; (on vacation) I did notice a second billing in January, after the second shipment arrived. Surprise! I had no idea that was the cost of the product.....it was NEVER stated on their "Try for S&H" listing at my bank website.I would not have purchased the product even as a trial if I had known the price. After reviewing my credit card bills again I found the December charge for the same amount. I was able to cancel with the company by calling the number listed on my credit card billing (the Discover rep told me the charge number was a phone number) 877 806 2855 and they sent an email cancellation notice. If the charge occurs again I will be able to dispute it with Discover.

Bottom line; fraudulent and deceptive practice, using my bank website to trap consumers.

Ripped off by Lavish Skin

This company gets no stars. I was told I had won a chance to get Lavish Skin treatment free, only having to pay $4.95 for shipping. There was no mention of a subscription or getting any additional products at all. Now I get my credit card bill and have been charged $89.73 from DXS*DELUXESKIN, which is apparently the same company. I have tried calling the number listed on my credit card bill, but there is no answer. I will probably have to cancel my credit card.

I have been ripped off by Lavish Skin as has everybody else writing these reviews. I ordered the sample product because they said I had won a chance to get this free, only having to pay $4.95 postage. So I foolishly gave them my credit card number and I received the sample in about two weeks. There was nothing mentioned about a subscription or receiving any additional product. Now I get my credit card bill and I have been charged $89.73, and it is from a DXS*DELUXESKIN, which I have found out is the same outfit. How do I get this stopped? I suppose I will have to cancel my credit card. Thanks a lot, you dirty crooks!

FALSE ADVERTISING

I was told I was ordering a "trial" sample of the product. This is how it is advertised on the internet. I called less than two weeks later to cancel future orders. I received an email confirmation of this. However, I was told I would be charged $44.87 for the product I received.

This is a SCAM!

On December 1st 2014, I finished purchasing a different (legitimate, but now I can't remember which website) product online for my Christmas shopping when I was asked at the end of my purchase if I'd like to try a free sample of Lavish Skin Care Advanced Aging Serum if I pay $4.95 for shipping. Because my previous purchase was legit, I went ahead and clicked the "Rush my Free Trial" button. Then it asked if I'd like to add another one of their products, a Derma Bright eye cream for free for an additional $3.95 shipping cost and I thought, why not, and clicked that too. So on 12/1/2014 my credit card account was charged $4.95 for "TryLavSkin San Diego CA" and $3.95 for "Wrinkleraser Westminster CA". I did not notice until too late that they then charged me for $89.73 and $88.28 on December 15th, 2014. Once I did notice, I was pissed, but figured that there was some fine print I didn't see and got charged for the product anyway.

I was going to forget about the whole thing and move on, but then a few days ago another shipment of both their Lavish Skin and Derma Bright eye cream arrived in the mail, even though I didn't order anything. I went online and found a ton of complaints against this company. I looked up my credit card account and found that they charged me again, $88.28 and $89.73 on January 14th, 2015. That's when I knew for sure I got screwed, so I called my credit card company Bank of America to complain and get my money back. The Bank of America representative called the company for me (Lavish Skin stated they were really two companies, so my Bank of America rep had to call two separate numbers for me) to resolve the dispute.

During this three-way call where I had a Bank of America rep listening in, I was told that this was a monthly subscription, that it was too late to recover the December purchases, but I had two options to get some of my money back for the January charges: 1) to mail it back for the refund, but I'd have to cover the postage cost, plus I'd lose $9.95 for a "restocking fee", and it might take 30 days for the credit to show up on my account, or 2) I could get 75% back if I did it over the phone now and it would get credited back in 15 days. At this point I din't trust the company at all and didn't trust that I'd get anything at all back if I mailed it back to them, so I opted for the 75% back. Then I had to do this all over again for the eye cream, because this company is claiming they're two separate companies, even though the same address is listed on both packages. Same two options. They said they cancelled my subscription. As of now, I still don't see the charges credited back to my account. Somebody's got to shut this company down. What they're doing is total BS but probably legit enough that they can get away with it long enough to make a decent amount of money before they shut down and run away with it. They're ads look slick, their is nicely packaged. They SUCK. They're probably laughing at all of us.

Their address is:

Lavish Skin (the 2nd package for eye cream says "Derma Bright")

I GOT SCAMMED!!!!!!!

I was taking a Survey for some store also and at the end they offer a trial size (I thought) of a skin cream for a $4.95 shipping charge which I thought was not bad. Was I ever surprised when I received my credit card statement and saw an amount for $89.73. So I called the phone number to find out what the company was. That's where I found out it was for the 'trial size' of Lavish skin cream. APPARENTLY, you had to cancel after 14 days or they would automatically charge you for the rest of the cream you didn't pay for in the first place. It seems the amount of cream they send is a regular size. .50 fluid ounces for $89.73. And now before you know it, they have charged my credit card for another $89.73 for January 2015 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!What a scam! My credit card can do nothing except send me a form to dispute the charges which I will be doing..........I GOT SCAMMED but they won't be getting away with it, mark my words!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jan 15, 2015

I ordered the $4.95 sample of Lavish skin cream. i read all the info to make sure that there were no scams. Actually it had no info. I used for a month and did want to order more. Then i got the bill and saw that they charged 4.95 PLUS 89.00.

When i called them they said I was supposed to call to cancel. I told them that there was no info included and they were very rude. I told them that since i was already charged for the large size that they should send it to me. They said NO they will send me another trial size. I told them that I was not happy and that i would go to the better business bureau, again they were very rude.

  • Jan 14, 2015

This company offers free sample on line, and leave you no information to contact and cancel. After 15 days it will charge you $89.73 with out any notice per month and send you a bottle that you never intend to order. And they do not take return of course. It is a totally a cheating!

  • Jan 14, 2015

I responded to anadvertisement for trying a cream to remove wrinkles from in and around the eyes. The advertisement said the trial cost would be $4.95 for shipping. Instead they charged me the $89.73. The did not clearly state that when the trial period ended I would be charged for the product. In fact I don't remember that the price of the cream was ever clearly mentioned in the ad. The Company is also affiliated with another beauty care company GHP Dermabrite which also charged me $88.28 for a product they said would only cost $3.95 for shipping. The Company contacts are difficult to impossible to get a hold of. I noticed on the internet that this scam has hit numerous other people as well.

If additional information or clarification is required please feel free to contact me. Thank You.

"gotcha"

I also got scammed by an ad that just said to pay $4.95 for the product and I'd only pay for shipping - little did I know that I'd get a charge two weeks later. As other writers noted, I called and asked to be reimbursed but was told that I could not. I am very upset to be charged almost $90 without any recourse. And my credit card company would not dispute the charge.

I think we should all call the 877-410-6850 number and complain. I plan on calling them every day until they refund, and invite other to do the same.

  • Jan 7, 2015

After completing an online survey, I was offered one of three prizes (magazine subscription, something else, and Try Lavish Skin Care product). But I had to pay shipping on the Lavish so I provided my credit card info.

Whoever provded my credit card info to Lavish probably checked off my agreement to the terms and conditions because in reviewing this info on the Lavish website I would never have agreed. I never saw the Lavish terms and conditions. My guess is that Lavish and the survey firm or individual are in cahoots.

I can not remember the type of information the survey was about -- it may have been about timeshare experiences.

  • Jan 5, 2015

Was contacted on the internet to participate in a survey. Was notified after the survey about free products, That required shipping costs. I picked the makeup offer and paid the shipping cost. Received the product fine but when I cancelled any other shipments, I was charged 90.00. I contacted them and they said I needed to return the free product or will be charged 90.00. Nowhere did it say anywhere I had to return the product. Now there is no way to contact them because all I get is a recording. Maybe this complaint will help others to refuse the free product. The name of the company is lavish skincare.

Original order was for trial only - I was required to cancel witin 14 days of placing trial order. No phone number, e-mail address or physical address was provided to place a cancellation within to 14 days as outlined in the original order. Product was not shipped until 14 days had expired. Again no address was provided on the original shipment- thus unable to cancel.

No inforamtion was provided inside the original deivery. 2nd shipment arrived at about 45 days from order and finally had an address. Contacted credit card company to get a phone number to file a complaint and cancel further shipment.

Contact was made with phone # provided by Discover Card - obtained RA # to be able to ship product back. This was deceptive advertisement with intend to charge full amount because I was unable to cancel within 14 days due to lack of contact information. Beware, and print original order info - that's where info was hidden to do so.

The intend was to deceive and be able to charge an enormes amount of money for very ittle product.

I received an ad thru Kroger feedback website about free skin care( Lavish Skin Care)just send $4.95 shipping. Two weeks later my account was charge $89.59 and $88.48. I did not authorize this amount or made any other orders. I called the company and they canceled future orders but not this ones, was rude and hung up the phone and talked about terms and Conditions while three way conferencing with Credit card company. I am very distressed and upset about this type of cheating.

Lavish Skin advertised on the website of a creditable bank for a "limited time offer" of free trial of a half ounce bottle skin care liquid with $4.95 shipping charge. Since I trusted the bank, I accepted the offer and paid $4.95 on Nov. 13, 2014. The .50 once bottle arrived within a week with no issue. Following it, however, on Nov. 28, 2014 to be specifically, an additional charge by Lavishi Skin of $89.94 was posted on my credit card. The bank notified me of this additional charge via text message. I logged on to my bank account and found this unauthorized charge. The credit card issuer took care of the issue by disbuting the charge and notifying Lavish Skin. Lavish Skin immediately sent me an email saying they would remove the charge and stop future charges. The bank representative whom I spoke to said there were quite some complaints about this company for similar practices. Be aware.

Lavish

I went to walmart website, a survey poped up,after the survey they will have a gift,it is Lavish skin care for free, but need to pay the shipping, after I paid $4.95,derma bright poped up too, only several dollars,I think fine, try it.I didn't notice any 14 days trial, because there is nothing about that on the website, just on the agreement, but it is so long,I didn't read it.Ok,after my bankstatement came,I found they charged me $ 88.28 and 89.73.I call the number on my bank account,Derma bright said I should call them to cancel in 14 days I bought the trial. I told them I never used the derma bright I wanted to return it,they just gave me refound. The number for lavish skin on my bank account is not right,I called derma bight customer service, they gave to me Lavish skin care customer service number,I called and they are very rude, they will not give me any refund back. I asked them where I can complain about their service, they said no place, they hanged up my call.I just want to ask there is some place I can call to complain about them, because what they did is fraud, they hide things and they will not tell you about the 14 days trial when you got the trial. Now I payed $89.73 for a lesson. If somebody has a suggestion, please post,I appreciate that. Derma bright number is 888-622-1955,Lavish skin care number is 877-637-4555

Lavish Skin

thanks for your helpful comments.just now i ordered new debit card from my bank so they don't charge me again and I suggest that you will have to do the same!!!!

  • Dec 12, 2014

This company leads you to believe that you are getting their product for 4.95. Does not make it clear after 14 days you will be charged 89.28 on your credit card. Customer service is VERY RUDE AND WILL NOT REFUND YOU YOUR FULL AMOUNT, if you go just a few days past the 14 days. I stress again VERY RUDE!! Don't be TRICKED by this! In my opinion the cream no better than Avon. 89.38 for 1 container! WOW. VERY DISSATISFIED AND UPSET!!

  • Dec 8, 2014

This company uses a long list of behind-the-scenes legal jargon to protect itself while charging customers $89.73 per month with no customer recourse. They use one website which seems to be linked to department store websites to lure customers to a free trial. On this website, there are no verification blocks to check before ordering the free trial.

Unfortunately, if customers take the time to click on an added Terms and Conditions link at the bottom of the page, they will find the details about how their credit cards will be charged following a short 14-day trial. The company is quite thorough in their explanation of the charges so that any dissatisfaction with the product or request for cancellation of the account will still result in no refund of the $89.73.

Customer service is terrible. "Company policy" severely limits their representatives ability to offer refunds. When queried about why no verification block on terms and conditions, the customer is steered to a different website with a different format for the same product, this one with a verification block present.

This company and its product seems to live on the ragged edge of ethical internet operations. Customers should stay as far away from this company as possible. You will have your money taken with few alternatives provided.

Lavish Skin & Derma Bright

Sent for "free sample" & only paid for shipping. After 2 weeks they bill you for $89.00 & do not send the product.

  • Nov 29, 2014

I was taking a survey from Kohl.com website. It promised to reward kohl survey takers a reward worth up to 50.00. I thought it was coupons which I could use toward purchases at kohl or something. Instead it offers a 0 cost anti wrinkle cream. The next thing I know I was scammed into paying a Shipping fee of 4.95 for a free trial of this lavish skin product. To my surprise, somehow Dermabright also got on board and charged my visa of 3.95 shipping. And when I call to cancel, automated message said I am charged additional of 44.14 . Tried to call but no live person answered the phone. This has gotta happen to others. Please be careful. Not sure what tondo now Thanks for any advice
