Lazer Express of Middletown,Ohio hired me to be a yard spotter for a company in Eaton, Ohio. I was hired at $15/hour. I reported this morning for my training day. About 11:30 another driver showed up quite upset or appeared to be. He took the walkie talkie away from the trainer and put my things out of the truck. I tried to call/text Mike, who hired me, but as I already had learned per his habit he did not return call or text. I drove to Middletown to talk to Lewis, the owner. At this point I was told that I was not hired specifically for the Eaton location and that he never pays $15/hour to start..All this after being strung along about my start day for a week. I feel they did this thinking after a week unemployed I would except whatever they did to me. Wrong answer..CDL Drivers beware of this compnay which now in my opinion is inherently dishonest. You have been warned..Drivers need to stick together and refuse to deal with such operations...If we can do this others will getthe hint and treat us better.
