I met Gregg Grookett on January 31, 2014 at his office in center city Philadelphia located inside a law firm on Walnut street. We discussed my credit report all the negative and inaccuarate information. Gregg showed me evidence of getting the negative settled or removed, he pulled my report and told me it would cost me 800.00 to do everything.
I signed a contract for him to complete services and i had to pay 4 installments of 200.00. Gregg ask me to sign documents to make him power of attorney on my accounts but he did not discuss that the day i signed the contract. He told me he would get started right away and it would only take about 6 months to be completed.
Gregg has not done anything i pulled my own credit to see if he started anything he didnt and i found more negative items i informed him of it and he ask that i come to his office so we can discuss it further i have not had a chance to go to his office because of my work schedule. I called Gregg on 12/5/14 to voice my frustration and he got upset with me and said FU*& ME and hung up on me.
I have been sending numerous text and phone calls and have not gotten a repsonse. HE IS A SCAM ARTIST PLEASE DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH HIM.
I hired Mr. Gregory Grookett to help me with my credit. He sounded like he knew what he was doing and his website stated that he was voted #1 in alot of organizations and that he was certified and affiliated with a lot of organizations. I paid him $999, and all of my negotiated debts were rejected by the companies that Mr. Grookett said their will be no problems. His website says he was voted #1 on Angies List for 2012. Angies List confirmed with me today(Patricia) that Legal Credit USA had never won any type of an award and that they were only a member since 2013. Angies List stated they were forwarding his site to their legal department. I then called the National Association of Credit Services organization wher his site said Mr. Grookett and his company were members and were certified. Aleshia from the National Assoc. of Credit Services Org stated to me that Mr. Grookett and legal Credit USA are not and were never members. They too are taking action as of today. I then called FICO PRO which Legal Credit USA states they are certified and are members, and I spoke to Jim from FICO PRO and he stated that Legal Credit USA asd Mr. Grookett were never and are not currently certified nor members of their organization. Jim stated after logging onto Legal Credit USA's website that they too are going to take action. I wasted my time and money with no results and their misrepresentations on their website that they are experts, when all they are are nobodys and deceiving people. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$!!!!!!!!!!!

This negative review stems from an employee of ours who hired Justice Paralegal in Bala-Cynwyd-Pennsylvania owned by Robert Rosen to do some work for them and from our understanding was not performed and the case between them is currently being handled in small claims court.
On February 7, 2014 I met with Greg at his Center City office inside of a Law Office. We discussed my credit report and several inaccurate items that needed to be fixed as well as several accounts I wished to settle after losing my business several years back. I was starting the home buying process and needed to get a handle on my credit score again after it was trashed in the downturn. Greg showed me evidence of successful negotiations and removals of bad information in other peoples credit reports and assured me he would be able to fix my problems and settle the old accounts. He handed me a contract and stated his services would cost $1250. He advised me that once he received my check, he would be ordering my credit reports directly from the credit bureaus which would take approximately 30 days. I felt good about this decision and had confidence he could help me. I mailed him a check once I returned to my office and we agreed to start the contract the following Friday, February 14, 2014.
The following week Greg requested copies of my ID and Social Security card to verify my identity with the Credit Bureaus. I sent him all of the necessary documents he requested and he assured me the reports were being ordered. I waited several weeks before checking in with Greg advising him I still hadn't received any reports and asked if while we were waiting he could start settling the accounts we knew had to be done anyway. He told me to keep waiting and he wanted the reports first. At this point close to 60-days had passed and I still hadn't gotten anything from anyone. I called Greg several times, leaving voice mail after voice mail yet all went unanswered. I followed up each voice mail with an email all of which went unanswered. For over a month, I tried texting, calling, and emailing until finally he answered the phone (called from another number) and we had it out. He told me my file was "difficult" and that he wasn't sure why the credit bureaus didn't send my files as requested. We went back and forth and he told me he needed me in the office again to sign additional documents. I told him I was unavailable to come to his office so just email them to me. He emailed me several Power of Attorney letters to work on different accounts none of which we originally discussed. I emailed him back asking why he needed these and to find out why he was working on accounts that we never talked about (accounts in good standing) which went unanswered as usual. I have called, emailed, and texted over and over and I can't get a response from Greg Grookett.
I am out $1250, 5 months of wasted time, and no closer to a resolution. He is running a credit scam and should be prosecuted. his website claims he is a MyFoxPhilly Winner and Best of Angies List. I can't find anything to back that up. If it's true, than his actions are worse and Fox and Angie's List should go after him. Also, He claims to be a member of the National Association of Credit Services Organizations as wel as the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce...neither of which I can confirm.
