I received a telephone call from an Angela who represents Legal Debt Mediation at telephone number 312-724-8425. She indicated that she was representing a company called QC holdings who is a blanket payday lender for various lending companies. According to her, a payday loan I took out several years ago has remained unpaid so she was calling to offer me a payment plan.
In conversation, she was unable to provide me with any documentation of where the loan originated or any proof of the loan. She offered to email me a proof on loan but it would not have any documentation of the original lender. She had started to threaten me with an officer to serve me with apers to appear before a judge and to contact my employer. I then informed her that all of my payday loans have been paid.
Upon hearing this, she then said, you can pay $150 for a fraud payment that will stop all legal proceedings against you. I said that why should i do that when they've been paid. SHe then said, "you can get out of this for $150 vs having to appear in court and spend thousands in court fees".
I received a phone call from a person name Rebecca Woods from Legal Debt Mediation 203 N LaSalle Street Jacksonville, FL 32217 (904) 930-4194 indicating that she is collecting funds due for her client call QC Holdings. This woman apparently got some of my personal info correct and freaked me out. However, I went checked my credit report and nothing shows up and also Googled Legal Debt Mediation and QC Holdings and nothing came up with the address and phone number. This is a SCAM that everyone should be on the lookout. Do not give them any personal info or pay them.
