Lifewatch USA Reviews

  • Jul 28, 2014

I signed up for Lifewatch-USA on July 13, 2013. I recieved an electronic device to use tro summon medical assistance via gps so I could use it while hunting out in the woods. I also purchased a Padlock to hang on my front door to be used by ambulance personell or Police to gain entry to my home without breaking down the door.

I activated the device and was unable to get it to work. I called Lifewatch and spoke to a very courtious young man. He told me how to turn the thing on and I made a test sygnal to him to be sure it worked. A week or so later, I signaled lifewatch and was connected to a perso. I told them that I was testing my new device. They replied that that was fine, I said, Thanks and hung up. That was the last time trhe device worked.

I called them on the phone to get repair or replacement. He talked me through several proceedures with no success. He then told me to send the deffective device back. I then waited several weeks for some sort of return authorization which did not arrive.

I bought the padlock to hang on my door knob for $20.00 but, I have misplaced the bank info.

I called back at that point and asked for a redund and was told "that wasn't going to happen. At that point, I canceled my Visa card.

At that point I had been billed $20 dollars for the padlock, $99.99 for the device, $23.00 for I don't know what and $134.85 for 3 months of service.

Several weeks later we talked on the phone and I agreed to give him my new card number in return for his promise to get my devise fixed.

That was my last contact with them. Since then, I have been billed the following amounts:

$134.85 - 11-12-2013 000000071087

$134.85 - 05-23-2014 000000071473

$134.85 - 07-18-2014 000000071473

Earlier this week, I asked my bank to dispute the last 2 charges since 60 days is all they can dispute. I have bank records for everything except the $20.00 and I can get that if necessary.

I would have never let this go on so long but, I am nearly 70 years old and I am prone to falls since my last stroke so I really need some sort of signaling device.
