I was struggling financial and was looking for a solution. I saw the Loan Max commercial and called them. I spoke to a girl who is always there and seems to be the only person who answers the phone. She told me how I could get a car title loan in minutes. So I hurry to Laskin Road to her office. But by the time I got there she was gone. Therefore the manager asked to assist me. I asked him about the car title loan and he said I could get you $2000.00 against your car in about 5 minutes. I was happy so I said great. he told me that my payments would be around 660.00 a month but would be paid off in a about 3 months. He asked for my Drivers license and the car title. He kept the car title and gave me back my Drivers license. He quickly went over the contract and I signed. He then handed me the 2000.00 and said have a good day. The next month when its time for my payment I call Loan Max to make the payment over the phone via credit card. The same female answers. I gave her my credit card number but decided to confrim with her that this loan would be paid off in 3 months. She proceeded to tell me that I have an interest loan which means my payment only pays the interest and it never touches the 2000.00 loan. At that point I flipped out and got scared. Wonderding what has this company done? This is a SCAM!! I then yelled at her and asked her if she was crazy and demanded to speak to the manager. She said he is not available. I then asked her, "Who in the heck would sign up for a "principal only" loan with payments as high as rent? Are you nuts?" That is insane!" I explained to her that I didnt sign up for that crap and demanded my money back. She reversed the payment and I received my money back into my bank account. However, the following month I received a bill from them stating I now owe almost 4000.00. I called several times to speak to the manager or anyone in charge because I know I owe the 2000.00 and dont have a problem paying it if my payments are going to be applied to my loan. But again she said no one was available. Its sad because I really am struggling financially and I dont think its fair that they can lie to you to get your car title and then change your contract and then ruin your credit. Plus I can never sell the car now because they still have the title. This company charged me almost 300% in interest. WHAT THE HECK! They are such a rip off and I would never recommend anyone to them even if it meant they would lose their home without the loan. I am looking for others that have been ripped off by them.

Loanmax Title loans is definitely a rip off. Customers who loan with them end of paying back way more than the value of their vehicle. I worked for loanmax for 2 years and I have seen customers come in for a $500.00 loan in which the pay back is $661.00 and end up paying over $2000.00. The minimum payment is a TRAP....people make that minimum payment and get charged a CSO fee (customer svc organizational fee) which makes it look like they hardly made a payment. I seen customers who literally been paying on a $300.00-$400.00 for two years. The company's main goal is to loan you 70-80% of the value of your vehicle. They want to loan you more than what you want, make it seem easy to pay back, take your title and eventually your car. They have NO INTEGRITY and don't even RESPECT their employees. Rules and policies change frequently. They started as 30 day loans then changed to 60-day loans then back to 30-day loans. I was told they were under investigation and had to change things. They are currently under investigation with Ohio's Attorney General and they have many complaints with the Better Business Bureau. If you are a customer who have been paying on a loan more than a year call them and request for a SETTLEMENT and they will set you up on a payment arrangement. This just means that they have gotten a lot of money from you and you have over paid and they dont want to be involved in any lawsuits or further investigations. If you have not paid on your loan in awhile meaning 100-days or better and have not received calls you may be in a write off status in which they are not concerned about your vehicle, the miles are high the value is low. They are not going to come after you but keep in mind they still have a lien on your title You can also request a SETTLEMENT. If you have a nice car with low miles and haven't paid in awhile I suggest you take care of it ASAP. Repo fees are $300.00-$500.00 depending on repo company which may be One Choice Recovery for the Dayton area. For those of you hiding your vehicle they have ALS which is a device used to scan your tags. So eventually they will find you. Im not a bitter employee but I've seen things first hand. I recently departed from this company and it was told to me that they were going in a different direction and that after watching me on the cameras I no longer fit in but it was relayed to my staff that I was making the company LOSE MONEY because I was not OVER LOANING or PUTTING PEOPLE IN DEBT. I advise people to only utilize them if you have a vehicle that is on it's last leg and you are trying to get rid of it. This is a good way to get rid of your POC (piece of crap)!

I have been an occasional customer to this company for a while now. I had never had a problem before. I paid on my loan on time and had a pay off of $377. today on June 20th 2014 . I called them to inquire about coming in to pay off the loan today in full.

I had borrowed $400. about 2 months ago. paid all minimums as requested by them when i called today they ask for a pay off of $469.43. They increased what i owed them since May 2014 after my payments. ( Which makes me extremely upset) I am off to pay them but i feel people should know what a shady company they have become.

I am posting this for people so you understand they have changed thier practices to in turn burn you and take all you have given them and then some. I used to think it was a decent company but as of this day. I will NO LONGER do business with them. When a company turns shady and starts ripping people off is where i draw the line their is better companies as their competition now who do not practice ripping you off.

BeWaRe!! Do not do business with this company save your self the headache as they will rip you off even as a seasoned client. To me it feels like a bait and switch type deal......

I borrow 2500.00 from title loan to help me with my school expense, I have been paying them 700.00 600.00 last 816.00 over and over this loan just keep growing higher and higher. This month they want me to give them 2555.00 and I don't have that type of money, this loan never go down the interest they keep putting on the loan is so sad.

You never seem to pay it off, this is the worst place that I have dwelt with, they are not here to help you, these are loan sharks you won’t know that until you receive a loan from them. They make your life worse than it was when you needed them. I'm saying why hasn’t the government look unto this racket? This is consumer rip off, there is something illegal here about this company so maybe everyone that has been affected by LoanMax we need write the Ohio Attorney General, maybe we can start getting some help.

They want to take your car and putting you into a harder rut then you were before. We need help, I need help, please tell me where I start in exposing LoanMax or paying them off without keep been charge these higher and higher interest rates that constantly being added to your account when you make a payment.

Line pay day loan place. I was told it would be SOO much more financially beneficial to go with them, due to the interest rate ONLY being 14% PER MONTH.

After deciding to go with them, I made payments for two months, afterwhich I received my FIRST receipt that was correct, as I was given SOMEONE ELSE'S RECEIPT THE PREVIOUS MONTH!!!! (I didn't notice this, as it was around the amount of my loan, but I didn't notice that it didn't list MY name!! I mean, that's one thing you shouldn't have to verify!!!

That's when I was told that each month, there was either $80 or $60 applied to my loan, and it alternated each month. Well, I just called because I finally got the amount of money I need to pay the damn thing off, and some ""substitute"" manager tells me that my balance is LITERALLY ONLY $72 LESS THAN MY ORIGINAL LOAN AMOUNT, AND I'VE BEEN PAYING ON IT FOR 4 MONTHS!! (loan amount, $1,000, loan payments, $153.00) You do the math!! Plus, this substitute manager tells me that NEITHER $80 OR $60 was the amount applied to the principal of the loan, it was ONLY $40!!! HOWEVER, THAT DOESN'T EVEN ADD UP!!! So, I went online to find someone at a ""home office"" to call, and I can't even find a telephone number to anyone!! My ONLY option is a location!!

Oh, and by the way, one month I was late making my payment, due to MORE car repairs, and boy did their demeanor change!! The nice, sweet, funny manager turned into satan himself!! She threatened that EACH DAY I WAS LATE WAS $30 IN INTEREST ALONE!!! This wasn't true, but that's exactly what she THREATENED!! I called every other day to let them know what the status was, and she was a total BIAtch.

Look, I understand if you need money for rent, car repairs or whatever....just do yourself a favor...FIND SOME OTHER WAY TO DO IT!!! You DON'T WANT TO BORROW FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! H***, even an on line pay day loan would be better than these crooks!!!!
