Lynn Adams Reviews

  • Jan 8, 2015

This is just a fraction of the harassment I received from Lynn Adams. I have several more emails that I am happy to share.

I'd love the chance to review Lynn's performance as a trainer. However, the way she treated me after my initial phone call to her was beyond infuriating. I told her that I would be out of town for a few days and that I will call back to set up time with her when I got back. 3 days later I received an email:

"Hi Ms. ,

It has been 5 days since we heard from you, contacted you, and have had no contact back. We are as a result going to eliminate your email. If you need us in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you, Austin Dog Whisperer"

I explained that I was on vacation and would reach out to her on Monday.

Her "staff's" reply:

"Hi Ms. ,

What you told Lynn, the owner, is that you were going to talk to your fiancee and get back to her. With all due respects, you never told her you were traveling. She is happy to accomodate you, but the schedule is getting heavy duty booked, and she did not want you to have to wait. Lynn is helping a client who has a dog on his death bed, will probably have to be put down. This woman is 95 years old and has noone in her life, so Lynn is at her side. We hope you can understand that Lynn/owner is not responding to you directly because of this situation.

regards, Marina, Dog Supervisor - Austin Dog Whisperer"

I know what I told Lynn...this email was completely unnecessary and pushy.

Again, she replied...:

"Hi Miranda,

With all due respects, if you cannot appreciate me helping a client with a dying dog nor having the schedule locked through October because of no concrete plans from you, I will not apologize but simply wish you the best with your pug.

You contacted us not as a trainer but a uniquely valuable behaviorist expert with 23 years experience who knows how to help dogs like your neighbor's Ranger who was jumping on people, completely out of control and disrespectful become a dog who trusts, loves and respects not from gimmicks but of deserved leadership loyalty. I cannot understand how you can read disrespect into the byline, as it was not ever intended, but that is your choice.

Not all are created equal. You will be learning this as you hire low experienced/skilled trainers, not whisperer behaviorists, for help with your pug. We wish you the best.
