OVERCHARGED SHIPPING REFUSED REFUND!!!!

This company does business under a few different names, MacPalace.com, MacPartStore.com and PC TechSystems, Inc. Here is my recent transaction with them.

Ordered a logic board for a Macbook Pro 2011 since mine fried and they no longer service these models. 

Part came as advertised, however on their checkout page only 2 options were available for shipping. 1: UPS ground roughly $85. 2: UPS 2nd Day Air $115.60. (I live in Hawaii so shipping is always fairly expensive) Being as these were my only two options and I needed my laptop back in action ASAP I went with 2nd Day air. Upon receipt of the package I saw they used USPS Priority Mail Express 2-day.

Everyone in Hawaii knows that USPS is faster and cheaper than any other shipping service out here. Had USPS been an option at checkout I most certainly would have chose that. When I got the package I used USPS's website to see the cost of shipping using all of the information from their shipping label. The cost came out to $41.55. They over charged me on shipping by $74.05. Mistakes happen so I called their phone. 

They didn't answer the first few times and when they finally did I was told to email their info email and a manager would get back to me. A week passed with no response so I called again but this time a bit mer sternly. I was passed along to the manager this time (why didn't they pass me along to a manager the first time!?) and he explained to me that when they went to ship UPS didn't recognize my address (Bulls***, they deliver here all the time) and they tried to call me to ask if it was ok to ship it USPS (Bulls***, never had a missed call from Cali) "Josh" the manager tried to explain that since they don't normally ship via USPS they had to send an employee out to drop it off at a store (Bulls***, USPS does free pickups) and that they couldn't refund me. I asked him if he was trying to tell me the extra time it would have taken their employee to drop it off at a USPS office was worth $74.05, he avoided the question, twice. "Josh" was rude, interrupted me and told me that they "can't do things for free." I wasn't asking him to do anything for free, I was asking they refund the difference in shipping since they KNOWINGLY overcharged me by $74.05. 

Had to call my credit card company to get the difference refunded. 

Avoid this company by all means if possible. If not possible be aware they will probably pull the same shipping scam on you. I'm also guessing that my "4 year warranty I purchased is pretty useless as well, hopefully I don't need it.

Scam Company

Ordered a mac part from them, and then got the typical email that everyone seems to get saying they wanted me to pay an additional $80. Refused that politely and asked for a refund.

Despite several email and messages the company completely refused to communicate at all and had to force a refund vid the paypal system.

Do not conduct business with this company at all.

After purchasing a refurbished product from the Mac Palace, Inc. and installing it, the product failed to perform as described. Mac Palace representative took me through numerous steps and countless hours of testing and chasing my tail with no results. After months of this back and forth, Mac Palace, Inc. has finally accepted the return, however they charge a 30% restocking fee. One can quickly see that a $300 product + shipping in both directions has leaves a buyer with over $100 is lost money on a faulty product.

I believe this business should be investigated for their scam-like practice.

I ordered a part from them on 11/4/14. I received an email saying that the price had increased by $30. Since we needed the part, I went ahead and paid the difference. On 11/25/14, we ordered another part for $189. I received an email from them that the price had gone up to $250 (nice round number this time). When I callled to question the second price increase, I was told that they had no way of keeping the prices up to date on their website. My answer? Shut down the website until you find a way to keep it updated. After reading many reviews online, I found that I am not the only person with this issue with them. I will not be ordering from them again.
