Magazine scam

When reviewing my credit card account, I found 3 charges from TME*855-255-6459 WINES, SUNSE, and CNTRA. When I called 800-382-5210, the representative asked for far more personal information than i was willing to give. In light of other fraud complaints about TME, it appears that these three charges were for "automatic" magazine renewals that I was completely unaware of. Fortunately, my credit card company rejected these charges from TME.

I found four unrecognized transactions that posted on my credit card account within the last week. The trasactions only identified as "tme*855-225-6459 lucky", "tme*855-226-0429 peopl", "tme*855-226-0429 weigh" and "tme*855-226-0430 maric". Upon investigating with my credit card company, i found out these were renewals of magazine subscriptions we had been receiving. This company apparently signs people up with some kind of survey and then gives free or low price subscriptions to start with. Burried somewhere in the "small print" is an agreement to automatically renew at full price. I called the numbers listed in the charge headings and was connected to an automated system that would not allow full credit cancellation unless i accepted a "special offer" of a reduced rate subscription. I called and the representitive immediately agreed to cancel each subscription, but upon further questioning, admitted i would only get partial refunds. When i refused a partial credit and threatened to file fraud reports with my credit card company, the representative immediately said "there's no need to do that - i will request a full refund but you will receive each refund in two parts". I accepted that concesson, but before i hung up, i made the representative give me the exact amounts for each of the refunds. Please call 800-382-5210 if you've been ripped off with this underhanded magazine scam and demand a full refund.

In middle April, you deducted over 125.00 from my bank account via my debit card which I neither authorized or knew nothing about. This was supposed to be for some magazines I ordered over a year ago. I would never authorize taking that much money as it caused me to have to not pay my electric bill. In researching your company, it appears you have done this for years and years to other people. Somehow this has to stop.

I have tried to settle this (demand a refund) but I cannot find anybody to talk to except your mechanical lady answering machine. You must employ hundreds of people to answer complaints. I WILL GET A REFUND! I am a senior citizen and have a very limited income and cannot afford to get ripped off for 4 magazines that I did not authorize. Your cheating people has got to stop. How long can you go on stealing from people before it is stopped!
