Market Viewpoint, LLC Reviews

So I received a letter from Market Viewpoint, in the mail, with a check for $1260.00 and instructions to deposit into the bank, within 24-48 hours of receipt of the letter. After depositing the check into the bank, I am supposed to call Joseph Coring, the project director, for further instructions. In the envelope, I also received a letter indicating a survey at Wal-Mart, grading them on aspects of appearance and basic customer service. In addition, I am to purchase $50 worth of groceries in order that I may better evaluate Wal-Mart. However, the MAIN MEAT of this "job" is to evaluate Walmart-2-Walmart, similar to Western Union. I am to send money ($900) to a family member or friend at another Wal-Mart location.

So the $1260 check covers: $300 participation pay; $900 stipulated amount for Walmart-2-Walmart assignment; $10 service fee charged by Walmart-2-Walmart assignment; $50 Walmart purchase.

I called Joseph Coring, because this does NOT pass the sniff test. He seemed adamant, asking if I had read the letter, and why had I not deposited the check already? I told him of my reservations. He stated that the company has been around since 1996, and how can a scam be that many years in business? He just seemed to get a little too defensive if you know what I mean. He ended the conversation by telling me to go to the bank and deposit the check.

The hell I'm depositing that rubber check. If you research the routing number, it does not even match that of Premier Federal Credit Union. *&%$, if I'm going to run a good scam, I'd at least try to have that information correct, nevermind that I have never seen an account number that is 22 digits long!

But it's all psychology...the time factor...conartists love to use this tool...the sense of urgency, giving you no time to stop and think rationally. By the time you figure things out, it is already too late. Also, the secretive nature of the assignment. They don't even want you to bring the letter with you, to the bank, when you deposit the check. Oh, we wouldn't want the bank teller to know that we are a secret shopper, or it may "hinder with the results of each assignment." Seriously??!!

AND really???!!! Who is going to send you a check for $1260 BEFORE a job is completed? They would be SOL if the majority of people just deposited the check, and never came through on their "top secret assignments."
