Mattress 1 One Reviews

I ordered a mattress and was promised a delivery date and told I could exchange if not satisfied within 30 days. Waited home on 4-5 different days for promised delivery that never showed up. They billed my Visa and lied about availability and deliveries. Caught salesperson in many lies and even on so called phone call on cell to corporate headquarters. When he was supposedly talking to management, his phone rang. How embarrassing!! They have no corporate phone number or manager for consumer to speak to. Very unethical business and not interested in trying to salvage a sale. Salesperson was a JOKE. Waiting to see if "corporate" responds to my email.

Bought a mattress and nu-flex power base from Mattress 1 One on 09-07-14. Company delivered mattress and different model base on 09-09-14, but could not set up the base to work properly (said it was broken and would deliver another base). On 09-13-14, another delivery person delivered a new base (same improper model), but after trying for approx. 1 hr, said he had never set up this type power base and had no idea how to get it to work. This delivery person left and told us to contact the company. This company advertises Free Delivery, Free Set Up, and Free Disposal of the old mattress. We've contacted the store manager several times, but was told they would not come out to set this base up and told us we would have to call the Simmons 1-800 number to see if they could walk us through the set. We are not qualified to do this plus we paid this company to set this up. We've made numerous called to the company's General Manager who rudely told us the sale was final and they would not come out and set up this base. He told my wife to contact the "warranty company" and have them come out and fix this base. This is not a warranty issue because it was never set up properly in the first place. We have no idea if this base is broke, damaged, faulty, or what because Mattress 1 One refuses to come out and set it up for us. All we requested the company to do is to come out and set the power base up correctly so it would function like it is suppose to and they refused. We contacted the finance company and told them the correct power base was not delivered and the one they delivered (the Re-New model) was never set up correctly, so we wanted the finance contract cancelled and the whole mattress and power base picked up. We were told they would not cancel the finance contract and if we didn't make our first payment Oct 1 they would default our loan. This company has treated us very poorly as consumers and we are very disappointed with this purchase. We have contacted a local TV station who specializes in consumer rip offs and they suggested we start by filing complaints with this organization, the Better Business Bureau, the Florida Dept of Consumer Services, and the Hillsborough County Consumer Protection Agency, which we plan to do. The company responded to the Better Business Bureau complaint and basically refused to send anyone out to set up this bed correctly. This company obviously could care less about Customer Service. They have 306 Better Business Bureau complaints, so what do they care about one more?!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MATTRESS 1 ONE. YOU HAVE BE WARNED!!!!

On Sept 6, I bought a mattress, boxspring, and mattress pad from Mattress 1 One in Hollywood, Florida. They were to be delivered on 9/9/14 in the evening. The delivery people came with the mattress and pad, no boxspring. They called the shop. The delivery men assured me that the boxspring would be delivered between 2 and 6 on Wed, 9/10/14. I work and asked a friend to sit in for me. No show. I called the shop and told them that I could not do one more four hour time slot, and I needed the boxspring delivered the next day after 7 when I got home from work. They said fine. Again, no show. I called the shop again. They said that the boxspring was out of stock and should be refilled soon, maybe Monday? I asked if they had sold me an item that they did not have and got a noncommital answer. Meanwhile, I am 64 and sleeping on a mattress on the floor. I can barely get up in the morning. The whole idea of a new mattress was to make my life better, not more miserable. I asked them to have the manager call me on Friday, 9/12/14. The gent said he would. When I was getting out of work on Friday at about 4:30, I had not yet received a phone call. I called the shop and was given a direct line, supposedly. I called. The voice mail box was full, maybe with other complaints for all I know. Now, I am going to get a new set this weekend from someone who can deliver me an entire set. I am not asking for much here. All I want is for them to pick up the old mattress and refund my money. But no one will talk to me. I will have to go to the store tomorrow and kick up a fuss, I guess. What an effective way to deal with people: give them a number that doesn't work and say there is nothing I can do. I am done.

On 30 May 2014, we purchased an adjustable queen bed from Mattress1One at 4232 S. Tamiami at the price. The salesperson was polite and helpful; he even called the store manager to confirm that, even as a floor model, we would receive a refund if the bed was damaged during transit/installation. Delivery was scheduled for the next Tuesday. Two hours before the scheduled arrival, the salesperson called to inform us that the warehouse manager had annulled our sale—without warning or explanation. It is inconceivable that businesses can treat customers in such an unethical manner. It appears that the consumers need to do more than comparison shopping; we need to police the market place and censure business like Mattress1One.
