I make a living selling things on craigslist. ron from maverick harley called and wanted to by 12 wooden cable spools listed in my ad. i had some but not all of the size he wanted and told him i would try get get them all. in the meantime i had another business call and came right away for 13 of them, they actually decided to get 3 more which wuold have been $105 more money. i declined because i was holding them as part of my order for ron. these were to be used at acm ride and charity event at their dealership on sat. the 18th. i continue checking all my available sources as well as trying to find new ones to fill this order as it would bring in $360-$420 for the size he wanted as a result i put aside all other means of making money for the monent. finally i returned to my main source for spools. he informed me there were plenty at the dallas location and would set up access for me to that inventory as well, just that he did. i kept ron updated and checked to see if he was still wanting to buy them. the answer was yes. as time was running out my supplier and i agreed and set up to have ron come to the dallas location to check the inventory available there as as was much closer to him anyway if he found any to buy he could pick up there too. i infrormed ron of this possiblity he was interested in checking it out. my ft worth sourced had been at the dallas site at meeting and such and was unable to oversee this . he then referred me to a dallas site employee which agreed to help out and we cleared roy to come pick out any he wanted to buy. this inventory was made available to for this very order to possibly be filled and then was clse and convient for roy to pick up in time. i contacted ron again asking if he stiill was wanting to buy some and intersted in looking at some there in dallas. he was and we discussed he would pick out any he wanted and let me know and i would come out the next day for payment and he could pick them up there. once he was cleared to come he looked and decided to come next day to get them. he refused to pay me anything and already gotten the spools. i folowed behind not knowing how to get to the dealership to talk to stephanie who"s making the payments for this event. he had called the police that i was folling him just as i rouned the corner to the dealership i was pulled over. i pulled off the road to just inside the the a few feet. two police pulled in. he told me because he said i was folling him. i told them that i had called ahead to come in to see stephanie for payment and i didn't know the way. now that i'm on the lot as a result of being pulled over and to get off the street he took it a step further and had them issue criminal trespass if i didn't leave or came backi would go to jail. It is not a crime to drive on the freeway behind someone, so i don't know how he had two police dispatched for me. he had just taken $190 worth of spools unpaid for at that time, i'm unaware of how many more he may have gone back and gotten after that. this is the only time i have ever been ripped off in this way. i had taken customer directly to my source for pick up many times in the past and no one ever pulled this crap. in fact in some cases they paid extra for getting them exactly what they needed and when they needed it. and this was for a charity event hosted by dierks bently at thier dealership and ron is ripping a girl off who makes a living selling on craigslist. shame on you ron and maverick harley! i did send a comment to acmcounty.com as i thought they should know what happened to me where the charity event was held. charity??? really?? more like a liar and a thief!!
