Maverick USA, Inc. Reviews

After trucking school, Maverick was the first company I called to set up and orientation with. After the one week of training, I got an offer. Papers was signed and I was ready to start on the road with my trainer. That night I got really sick, nose bleeds, migraine, body aches, could not function at all. Missed orientation the following morning by 1 hour and was told to pack my things and leave. They said "I should have called to tell someone". Kurt who was the lead man was out due to surgery for his shoulder. I didn't have anyone else's number. When you are sick, do you really think to call and say "I'm going to be late". I tried everything to get myself to orientation so they could see that I was sick, but the 1 hour late was more important to them. After coming to terms that perhaps, it's not where I was supposed to be I applied at several other places and have been denied because it is making me look like I'm some type of looser who just doesn't want to work. When trying to call Kurt and talk to the mangers there they have an "I don't care attitude". This has affected my life in a lot of ways. I'm having to pay for a loan without having a job to do so. There should be laws put in place for these trucking companies who do wrong by people. I hope a lawyer will help me to see if at the very least these things can be removed from my DAC So that I can WORK.

I working at the Maverick yard in Fort Smith about a year and a half ago. about 6 months to a year into my job I had some family issues that took up most of my time.management at the time was very understanding and let me be off as much as I need to be at the time. but I soon learned after I took a lead job that this place was not the place I thought it was.after I take the promotion I realized but there was a lot of drama involved with this establishment. a lot of boredom and picking on employees for no apparent reason whatsoever. everyone was always worried about what the person next to me was doing or wasn't doing. it is actually a great paying job but it would have to be to put up with all the stress that comes along with that job.I was fired today because bottom line they were trying to get rid of me for a while now and have done so. working at that place broke me down to a point I can't even explain. I had a boss who ran around all day eating pills and even got caught giving pills to other employees and got it just swept under the rug like it was no big deal.I kind of maybe believe that the Little Rock corporate office would do something about it if they knew. but there is a lot that goes on in that Fort Smith yard but they would not approve of but none of the employees want to risk losing their job telling Little Rock about the messed up things that go about their.

I be fore warned do not take a job there whether it do not take a job there whether it be a driving job or just a regular employee your job.I knew this was going to happen the day I got put on a ninety 90 day probation because I did not come to work because my mom fell down the steps with my newborn in her hands. and this 90 day probation is right around the time we were getting bonuses or I should say everyone else was getting bonuses they are withholding my bonus and now after they fire me or not giving me my bonus. I worked very hard for that bonus, planned on that bonus, need that bonus but people with millions and millions of dollars don't consider small employee me.
