Merchant warehouse fails to disclose hidden fees. Not only was my account not opened until June 2, 2014 yet they charged me 19.95 for the month of May 2014. I was told that processing fee was $4.95 per month, they don't tell you that there is a minimum fee of $15 per month even if you process no transactions. They also charge sales tax on the processing terminal even when it is being shipped out of stae to a company that has provided them with their state Sales & Use Tax account info for tax exempt sales. They also failed to disclose the outrageous shipping rates they charge to ship a credit card terminal. THEN I have not even yet received the credit card terminal & when I call to cancel the order they tell me they will charge a 35% restocking fee ... REALLY ... straight up crooks, when dealing with credit card processing its best to deal with your local bank or a real business such as Intuit Payment Processing.
Merchant Warehouse started adding a 6.95/month fee to my accounts for something called MyAdvantagePortal and they are charging this to all their customers. It's useless and you have to call them and opt-out in order to get rid of it. I told them I never opted in and they said they would refund only 2 months of fees and that I'm screwed for the rest. Their excuse - "We informed we are added it on my December statement and I had to opt out to not get it."
I find it offensive that someone basically signs me up for a service that I didn't order. If you are with Merchant Warehouse you should check your statement and call them if you don't want to pay for MyAdvantagePortal.
