I met Michelle Boyer, CPA at my store in the middle of last year. She seemed very professional and offered to my taxes and bookkeeping. She told me that she saves her client's on an average of 35% on income tax. She said she knew a legal loophole.
I met with her a couple times to go over my information in mid June 2014. She told me that she needed a $2000 retainer which I gladly paid. She told me that she needed it in the form of a check because she did not accept credit cards. THIS SHOULD OF BEEN MY FIRST WARNING SIGN!!
SHE WAS LOCATED IN GILBERT, AFTER I PAID HER $2500 SHE MOVED TO QUEEN CREEK. SHE WOULD NOT ANSWER MY CALLS. FINALY I REPORTED HER TO THE BBB AND SHE PROMISED TO PAY ME THE NEXT DAY.
I DID RECIEVE A CHECK FROM HER DRAWN ON HER COMPANY, BOYER TAX SERVICES. THE CHECK BOUNCED. THE TELLER TOLD ME THE ACCOUNT HAD BEEN CLOSED FOR SIX MONTHS.
I RAN INTO HER IN TEMPE WORKING FOR A FURNITURE STORE CALLED MATTERESS RX. I DEMANDED MY MONEY AND EXPLAINED TO THE OWNER OF THE STORE WHAT HAPPENED. HE SAID HE DIDNT CARE BECAUSE THAT WAS HIS LOVER.
