MJC Classic Cars is a joke ! The owner Michael Calhoon is a not an honest dealer. I purchased a car that was suppose to be ready and it was delivered on empty, low tires, interior parts laying in the back seat and much more. it needs $2500.00 amount of repairs to make it drivable. The were avertising it as a classic and I told him I wanted a daily driver and when I asked to have replaced or return it I was told, it was a low priced car and yadda, yadda, yadda. What really bugs me more getting royally screwed is his voice mail on his cell at the end he says God Bless. I am a firm beliver in Karma and his will eventually catch up to him. He sells on ebay so beware, He is a dishonest dealer and will not work with you on issues. BEWARE !!! (((email redacted)))

Michael Calhoon MJC Classic Cars

Mr.Calhoon knows exactly who he has mislead, and his answer is " There is nothing wrong with the car" I have receipts, witnesses, repairs bills. Anyone who claims to be so honest would do the right thing and give my money back because of bogus advertisement and claims. Classic cars, what a joke !!!!!!!!!!!!!

1965 Skylark Convertible

this car was pristine and I was sent this bill to pay without consultation. This car had a new carb set up for warm Florida driving. It likely needed choke adjustment for middle of the winter driving when the car arrived in Michigan. He took teh car to a repair shop, got hosed and demanded I pay the bill or he would leave complaints...

I offered 50%, he said no...

WorthreThe experience with MJC Classic Cars and Mr. Michael Calhoon have been a real lesson in " don't believe in what you read online or what Ebay tells you about positive response" I purchased a car from Mr. Calhoon in Dec 2014 and it was delivered to me in Orlando. when I got a chance to ck out the car well; it had a crack in the windshield, the tires had less than 15 lbs of air, it had no gas and I ran out driving to the gas station. The other issues were, the AC was not working, there was no heater core so no heater or heating defrost, the rear defroster does not work, the radio does not work properly and the speakers had to be replaced, the car bearly ran and the spakplugs were all fouled and it needed the plug wires replaced, the radiator was bad and was beyond repairs and the cooling system need to be flushed and one hose was ready to blow open at the bottom of the radiator, it was missing the cruise control button which I was told was missing somewhere and when he found it he would send it to me ! Well the car is on youtube and it ran rough in the vidoe and the cruise control button was missing in 2013 so he never had the button.

After I took the car to my mechanic I emaied Mr. Calhoon and called him about the issues and he basically blew me off and said there was " nothing wrong with the car and it was oly a xxxxxx dollar car ! I asked him to exchange the car for a funtional car, or fix it or give me my money back and all I got the answer of, I will give you a heater core and pay for the delivery of the car $200.00. He is very unprofessional and he does not tell the truth about his cars. I am stuck with thousands of dollars worth of bills and more to come and I told him I was looking for a daily driver and I received a neglected ca and then again not pristine of anything like his ads on ebay of on his website. Beware he is not a professional and does not backup his claims on cars. I f you want' a classic or collector car find a dealer with a good reputation and check references of former clustomers and have a mechanic check out the car first !!!

resolution of this complaint

The buyer of this car reviewed the advertisement for a car with a $12,500 price. He was on a budget and had $6K to spend. I agreed to sell him the car "As Is" driving and running properly. He expected a fully restored car and presented me with a bill for over $8,000 needed to restore the car including new upholstery and re-choming the bumpers.

He filed nineteen complaints including writing a letter to the President of the university I graduated from in 1977. There is no perfect 32 year old car for $5,950. I have purchased the car back and the matter is resolved. Defaming my company with unrealistic demands it not fair. Postings here cannot be taken down, so here is my rebuttal.

I am a fair dealer that takes care of my cars and my clients....

Scammed by Mike Calhoun & MJC Classic Cars

I thought I was buying a grey 1979 Chrysler Cordoba from "The Crook" Mike Calhoun and MJC Classic Cars. I gave him $10,000 for the car. I also gave him another $5000 to have it painted. He never delivered the car to me. I now clearly see through his schemes. I don't know if I'll ever see the car and probably won't recoup my $5000. Mike Calhoun, you rotten S.O.B., enjoy your time in jail. And for your advertised "Christian values"...well Mike, when you meet your Maker, you'll have an awful lot to account for. Spending your time on earth ripping people off and taking advantage of their trust and decency. I am not a vengeful person but I hope Mike Calhoun goes to prison for a long time. You may even find yourself a nice "boyfriend"!! I understand you'll have decades to reflect on your crimes.

Anyone with advice on how to proceed with refunds or legal action, feel free to contact me. [email protected]
