Morgan Exteriors Reviews

Morgan Exteriors scams customers! They sell an Enviroview window which is made by Alside windows (the same window that Window World sells for $189). I am giving this report as a former employee of Morgan Exteriors. I only worked there for a short time when I realized the way they treat customers...and soon found out the way they treat former employees. I found several issues...the first came while in training when I was told by their sales manager, Kief Rosa, to tell the customer what ever you need to say to get the sale! Then, I found out that their high rating on Angies List comes from people they paid to post. So, when they tell you all those great things about their record, dig a little deeper.

They also tell customers they will pull a permit in their city or county before installation. They pull some permits...but not all. I know for a fact that they do not pull permits on many of their jobs and I heard this right from the owner, Kirk Morgan.

They also do not adhere to the EPA requirements and do not train sales people to check or test for lead.

The window they sell is Enviroview...this is manufactured by Alside. Alside make the windows for Window World..this is one of the cheapest windows on the market...however, Morgan Exteriors charges the HIGHEST price in the area! They set their par price at $9.25 per United Inch for non impact windows and $13.95 per UI for impact windows. You can measure you window from top to bottom and add the width to get the total united inches. Also, be advised, the Impact windows use a cheaper spacer and not the one they show in the demonstation! If you consider buying from Morgan...NEVER pay the price they ask...they play money games. They quote you a price of 1.40 x the Par price...then they will drop a little (to make you feel good is what the manager told me)...and then will continue to drop as needed. The sales rep earns 50% commission on anything you pay over their par price! They earn 10% of the par price...so they will attempt to close the deal at the highest price. It does not seem fair to me that the poor old couple up the street gets charged $20,000 for windows that someone right across the street might get for $6,000. They brag about ripping people off. You may still choose to do business with them...but I would beg you to get at least 3 quotes before you buy.

Also....KNOW THIS...You have 3 days to cancel any agreement the sate of Florida. However, if you attempt to cancel with Morgan Exteriors, they will not refund your money...and I know for a fact that sometimes it is weeks and months before they install...or even order your windows...but if you get tired of there excuses and try to get a refund, it will not happen.

They claim to be an honest company and someone you can trust...but in my experience, it is not true.

Finally...if you are thinking about going to work for these guys, leave your ethics at the door...and know, that if you leave...or if you are terminated, you WILL NOT receive your earned commissions. As a matter of fact...you have to request to get paid every week... I have never heard of a company that does this! If you fail to turn in your request, you are not paid! All back end commissions are paid at the descretion of Kirk Morgan. You never see or get a chance to dispute his figures. I know several sales reps who have left Morgan Exteriors of Tampa, Fl and never been paid..or if they were, it was a much smaller amount than was earned. In my opinion, if you are looking for a sales job...Keep looking. Their turn over is extremely high...and the reason is obvious!

I have not been paid a dime as of yet for the back end commissions for the time I worked there. I am looking for other sales reps who would like to start a class action suit.
