National Association of Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives Reviews

I took the NAPSRx, passed, have over 10 years of laboratory experience and a Masters in Science in Biology and STILL could not gain a job in the pharma sales industry. I went to entry level events and spoke with several people and they say they do not care if you have the NAPSRx. The site NEVER mentions that you need ANY sales experience, but this IS the case in the industry. They consider people who have sales experience as minor as a sales clerk at Best Buy over a person with the NAPSRx! I am very upset and hurt that I was cheated out of money and expectations after gaining certification. I really would like for someone to call me or contact NAPSRx and make them explain the information on their site. They need to be required to add that you need minor B2B sales experience at a minimum.

Desperate for a job, I answered an online ad that directed me to the NAPRS site. They offered an online course in pharmaceuticals that they claim will lead to a great high paying job as a pharmaceutical sales rep. They mention compensation of $80k per year and a company car. I paid $300 and received a huge book in the mail that took me three months to read. After taking their online test and passing the first time, I became a certified pharmaceutical sales rep. Their online job board promised opportunities in a variety of jobs. I answered all the ads and have yet to receive a single appointment. After speaking with other working reps in the drug business, I found out that drug companies are laying off sales reps and that they are only hiring reps with experience. My "CNPR" certificate is worthless as far as the industry if concerned and I wasted my money. These companies have plenty of experienced reps to choose from and newcomers need not apply. This NAPSR organization dupes guys like me into parting with their hard earned money, all the while knowing there are no jobs for new reps. They are the worst kind of predator, trolling the unemployed and the desperate to steal our money. Someone needs to stop these thieves!
