I ordered a set of lowers to put on my Honda VTX. I received a brand new package from one of their authorized retailers. Product Number N76601. After installation I began to hear a whistle sound when traveling down the road at speeds around 55 mph. I contacted support by email. I was told that they had never heard of this issue and that they would ask around some more. In the mean time they instructed me to make sure that the mounts were tight. So I followed their instructions and double checked to see how tight the bracket was. While I was doing this, the mount flew off in pieces. I immediately called them back and told them what had happened. They stated that they would send me some replacement parts but I would be responsible for the cost plus shipping.
I have always heard that National Cycle stood by their product but when I questioned their warranty I was told that it only applied to the wind shields. I understand they have to make money but I have spent close to 500 dollars on their products in the last few weeks. I thought they could have at least cut me a break on shipping.
