Our company was subcontracted by National Telecom Services to troubleshoot a jack back in Decembr 2012. It is August 2013 and we still have not been paid. Calls to accounting end up in the mailbox of a person named Daniel who will not bother to call you back.
They owe us less than $100, but it's the principal of the matter. They are ruining the field of subcontracting and making it difficult for us to take on new work from other subcontractors as our trust level in the field is diminished. We now require new subcontractors to pay for jobs up front. This limits our ability to provide subcontracting work as few companies are willing to do that since they can't float the time they get paid from their customers to the time they decide to pay us.
Bottom line, if you contract your work out - pay your subcontractors! I hope enough people/businesses see this and decide not to work with National Telecom on a customer and subcontractor level. Businesses like this do not belong in business!
