NET10 Wireless Reviews

  • Feb 18, 2015

On Jan. 5, 2015, I purchased 200 minutes from the Net10 website. A week later, I got an "Unregistered SIM" message on my phone and it stopped working. I called them and also contacted them through Facebook. They told me that they were sending me a new SIM card, which they did, but it was for the wrong provider. My phone had service through T-Mobile and they sent me an AT&T SIM card. I called and they said no problem, they would just port my number to AT&T, so they said they had, and it would take 2 hours (this "2-hour" scam is evidently used very often). It didnt' work.

I had a hard time calling them, because I had no phone and had to wait to borrow someone's phone to call them. I finally called them on Feb. 4, and told them about the problem. They once again said it was fixed and to turn off my phone and turn it back on in 2 hours. I asked what they were going to do about the month of minutes I paid for and couldn't use, and they said no problem, they would give me 200 free minutes. The phone still didn't work, although the 200 minutes showed up.

Again, I called and was told that a new T-Mobile SIM had already been mailed to me and I would receive it within 5 business days. It never came.

On February 17, 2015, I called back. At this point, I was sick to death of them and just wanted my money refunded and to terminate my account. They switched me several times to people I could not understand, so I asked to be connected with someone in corporate who spoke English as their native language. I got someone on the phone who asked when I purchased the minutes. I looked up my bank info online and found that they had CHARGED ME for the supposedly "free" minutes on Feb. 4, so I demanded to be refunded that as well. The person said she could not find the charges on my account, and had to talk to her supervisor, who was at lunch -- at 3:30 in the afternoon? I think not. I told her I could send her a copy of the charges on my account page, but she wouldn't let me.

At this point, I exploded at her and she hung up on me. I went straight to the BBB and filed a complaint. I will never have another Net10 phone. They are liars and thieves. I'd rather pay more for a contract phone and have decent service.

I purchased two identical phones from Wal-Mart. One of them worked flawlessly. The other has not worked at all. I have spent two days trying to get it to work. I have been on the phone with these f***s for hours, and have gone through several different said f***s. Each f*** asks me to perform the same steps as the previous f***. They will not listen. They are probably incapable of any form of communication that isn't written on their scripts.

They first told me there was a verizon outage, which only seemed to affect the phone in question, not the identical one I used to call them. All they do is transfer me around. When asked for a replacement phone, they transferred again. One of the f***s even hung up on me. They are thieves, f***ing thieves, and I do NOT recommend anyone purchase any services from them. Thanks Obama!
