Consultant (me) entered into an agreement that began Sept 05, 2014 for business strategy services. Client (Tatiana Sanders, also the owner) paid for the first two weeks of services in advance for deliverables that were due September 19th.

The work was completed a few days late (Sept 23) because client continued to request work from me that was outside the scope of work contracted for. I met client on Sept 23rd to review all work and plan the next two weeks worth of deliverables.

Client only paid a 50% deposit ($1,000) for the next two weeks worth of work with the balance of $1,000 being due by October 7.

All work (including additional work not contracted for) was completed as requested and delivered Oct 2, a few days early. That was the result of working many overtime hours by me to get caught up and deliver on time.

Upon requesting payment, client claimed I could not have worked enough hours, claiming that she expected 8-hours per day of work at $25.00 per hour.

This was a flat-rate agreement. There was never any agreement as to how many hows per day were required. Upon showing my work log of the project, hours and days available, I proved that I worked many more hoours than was calculated for the flat rate project.

Client refused my telephone calls and insisted that she was a former "HR" manager for a large firm so she knows hours better than me.

Bottom line. I delivered all required materials within the agreed timeframe and with many more hours of my time than was budgeted for.

She completely blew me off and has refused to pay me at a minimum of the $1,000 balance on this project.

I know from her Skype chats that she has had problems with (every contractor) to date. I guess I know why.
