Norwegian Cruise Line Reviews

Norwegian cruise line is and has been offering cruises as follows:

Choice + Extra Stateroom Guests Are Half-Price

As an example, I looked to book a cruise that was $839 per person. Wanted to book 4 people. I was told that first two are at $839 and the next two are at $799 per person. What? How is that 1/2 off? I was informed by their own customer service rep that it is half off of $1,599. How does that make any sense? She claims that it doesn't and that is what Norweigan has been doing for 3 months- decieving customers with these ads and that she has had this conversation hundreds of times.

She was nice enough and apologized, but how can they possibly get away with claiming 1/2 off the 2nd person when it is really less than 5% off?

Do not cruise with Norwegian Cruise lines, they are unethical.

Norweigan Cruise Line Getaway Ship set to sail 2-28-2015 reservation number 26708736

I booked this cruise over the phone after it was given to my by Las Vegas Casears Entertainment. I paid the taxes and other monies required to book the cruise.

Later I decided since this was my birthday I would upgrade to aft balcony. That fee was over 1700 dollars.

When I called to make changes I was told I had no choice but to pay for the insurance. I advised the agent that

I work for an airline and that I was sure I would make the cruise.

Later I purchase the drink package dining package excursions. A few months later I called and cancelled the

the drink package not thinking my husband and I would drink that much.

I was looking on NCL website and learned that I must also post an onboard account and the amount is based on the number of days of sailing.

Since I am sailing 7 days, I must have an account with 600 dollars in it for two people. I called and said I was never told this information and I would not be able to have 600 dollars sitting in an onboard account. When I called to asked if I could just cancel my dining package, excusions and shows if NCL could just put that money in my onboard account. I was told no.

I said well I can't take my cruise now for I don't have an extra 600 dollars laying around. This cruise was for my 46th birthday to help ease my so stress of dealing with my dad who suffered a stroke last Septemeber and now has early on set demintia.

The NCL agent said that if I cancel I will lose over 2100 dollars and be refunded a little over 600 dollars back. I was forced to by insurance what was that for?

I really feel scammed by this cruise line

We booked a cruise on August 5, 2014 for their 10 day Panama Canal cruise from November 30 to December 10 2015. We made all are plans and rearranged other committments and we even booked and paid for shore excursions.. Guess what???? Today I just recevied an email from NCL stating that a group booked the whole ship and we were cast adrift. I will never sail with NCL again and I hope everyone that reads this willl rethink their cuise plans with NCL.

NCL BEST PRICE GUARANTEE Reservation#26777158 Norwegian Pearl

I originally booked an obstructed window for Norwegian Cruise departing december 9, 2014 after being informed they offered best price guarantee where they will give refund for price difference or 110% boat credit for $719/person. A few days later they reduced balcony rooms by $500 to $919 per person. We called and asked about the room changes and rep Donna informed us if we upgraded and the price reduced again, we'd get a refund and a possible room upgrade.

A few days later they reduced the price for the mini-suite to $1039/person and we called interested in paying $120 difference for the mini-suite. Rep named Melissa assurred me the best price guarantee was still valid for us and that we could change back to Balcony at the lower rate if rooms were still available and if they reduced price from $919/person. We upgraded with Melissa.

On December 3rd the price of the obstructed window dropped to $449/person and balcony dropped to $649/person. We asked to downgrade our room to the balcony at $649 and they stated they could change us to the balcony at the $1039/person price we paid and they then stated the other rep misinformed me on the phone. We asked to cancel due to the experience and they refused any credit back and encouraged me to dispute the charges. They ended up charging me 3 times all over the phone. No where in my email receipts or during the payment process over the phone did they mention the best price policy was for 48 hours. Do not do business with this company they are rude and very deceptive. The supervisor Crystal stated she had no email, no employee number, and no supervisor I could speak with and that I would have to call 800-327-7030 and follow prompts for reservations and give them her extension 22181. She also stated no supervisor could call me back due to an employee meeting December 4th-5th in Miami.

Would like the decency of a real supervisor or the company to contact me and give me either a full refund, let me downgrade to the more affordable room, honor their best price policy, upgrade my room, or at least give me some type of boat credit for this issue. Any logical person would not pay to upgrade 2 times in a week over the phone if they were informed of the truth about a 48 hour deadline for price adjustments. I feel robbed and now am not looking forward to our trip we've been saving work time off now knowing Im going into the trip tricked and deceived into upgrading for a "Best Price Guarantee" that they will not honor.
