A job that was supposed to be finished in 3 to 4 working days has now extended without end in sight for almost 14 days (2 weeks +) and this company is not doing it for the first time. They blame it on the rain, extra water, too many jobs, other people’s generator installs, wrong phone calls about people coming to appointments but the dispatch does not know who's doing the job. The appointments despite frustrations voiced to the person in-charge and the men-on-ground are repeatedly cancelled. Worst is: if you don't call and call and nag them for updates, they just plain old don't call. This time it’s been 3 days... I haven't called to see how long I won't hear from them, while a tunnel is dug under the house with dirt piled mountain high in front of the house and the backyard... no calls... no emails... no updates. NO end in sight. What was supposed to be finished and inspected and packed back almost 2 weeks back is not even confirmed completed.

I have had to take time off from work as they needed me home, but either they didn't show up because their part of the town was raining (not in my house) or the person to come to work was backed up or the parts were missing, or they didn't have the right equipment, or the person didn't do the work right in my house and we had to stay without use of toilets or without use of bath tub; but the weekend and the holidays were closed for work for them. Naturally when there's rain they get backed up... but why would a plumber get backed up... they deal with water and flooding in and around the house... that's what they fix... but that's the way it is. And they keep delaying despite me explaining not to start with guests in my house... and ‘no, we will start and finish on time’, and now i have two weeks of guests looking at dirt all over the yards and they're asking for more payments even before the end of the work is in sight.

They charged more than two comparable A-grade companies gave me estimates for, and they promise to beat the competitor's price, but when I tell them the estimate... they conveniently say that the competitor is not a real match to their services, hence they don't have to match that particular one's price. They've dug up holes, and done half the job and took part of the payment even before starting the work, so I am stuck... with no resolution in sight.

They did some work before because this is pretty much the only folks the warranty company sends.. but they're incompetent. Their estimates are high, and the work done first was fraught with delays and errors. Now they blame that previous worker for not being good. It was clearly told to him to look for more trouble spots, but he didn't and now we're having to pay with our money and time for doing things he could've checked and fixed the first time. Nothing but excuses, poor timing, pathetic appointment keeping and bad communication and follow up from these guys. They promise you a lot, and half way through come and tell you more is needed, but don't tell you up front that might be an issue. What they fix is shown as a huge obligation to you, but all their errors and delays are nothing but a part of the job, not an obligation to them from me for taking it in, and putting my work and money and job on line for them.

I will surely be surprised if my strained living condition with my wife and little kids due to them repeatedly not fixing things (as they say) won't get worse as they still don't get their act together. Not doing a good job of customer service (nothing but poor lip service) is what NRG Home dis-Service should be known for...
