Numis Auto Transport Reviews

Worst company you can ever use BEWARE!!!

I took two cars from Los Angeles to New York, everything started out fine when I spoke to Suzanna, I deposit was taken as agreed and I was quoted $1850.

Prior to booking I asked Susanna if I can put some stuff in the trunks of both vehicles, she agreed and said as long as it's under 100 pounds each, per the agreement. So I put and made sure to weigh everything so I dont get charged $250 penalty per vehicle.

A company by the name of "Brightstar" that NUMIS AUTO TRANSPORT thinks so highly of, that they contract with them. They picked up my vehicles as agreed. I have an entire video of the pick up process and plan to post it online, I will update this review with the link when done, luckily my son was in school and wanted to see how the load the cars onto the trailer, so everything they said can be heard. I asked the driver if he feels what I have in the cars is more than 100 pounds since I weight the items and knew it was not and I wanted to make sure I don't get charged an extra $500 for both cars being with more than 100 pounds. The driver said he cannot tell me but someone will call if it's overweight.

Sure enough a couple days later while I am at the airport to my destination I get a call that both cars are overweight. SURPRISE?!?! They then started to tell me that if refused to pay they will have no choice but to leave the cars in California. I said that was not nice and I know for a fact that I did not have more than 100 pounds per vehicle, that is why I tried to confirm with the driver when he picked up my car. He then said "okay" i'll drop it down to $300 as if this jerk was doing me a favor, I said I don't agree because I know the cars are not overweight. Sure enough while my cars were being held hostage I was charged $250 extra for overweight, what a sick and dirty business NUMIS AUTO TRANSPORT runs!!!!

About a week or so later the cars arrived in New York at their destination, one car is an older vehicle said didn't really care much for the damages to it, but the other car was a brand-new vehicle, it was a lease, the car arrived in bad condition. It had more scratches and small dings on it prior to pick up, nothing the leasing company will charge me extra for so I did not worry about that so much. When I went to start the vehicle I noticed it had 208 miles more than when they put it on the truck, the reason I checked the mileage was because I noticed my full tank of gas was on empty. I wrote this information on the bill of lading and refused to sign it. I have a copy of it and will post it on the website next to the video when I get a chance.

Oh, did I mention that NUMIS charged me a fee of 3% for using a credit card? 'Processing fee'.

I contacted NUMIS Auto Transport (Suzana) to relay my dissatisfaction about what happened, she seemed very genuine and concerned and tried to work out the issue, though she kept blaming BRIGHTSTAR?!?! I was a bit confused because I hired NUMIS and expect them to take full responsibility to what took place. It's been several days with many email exchanges to no resolution. I simply requested they pay back for the mileage they used, my tank of gas and the false overweight charge they put on my credit card. I felt really uncomfortable getting back into my vehicle after someone has stolen it and drove it for 200 miles. Nowhere on their contract or agreement do I give them permission to drive my vehicle for such long distance, in my opinion my car was stolen for the period of time, or as you can say misused without prior consent.

Susanna said she cannot help me unless I speak to the driver with the company they outsource the work too, Brightstar ( they ain't so bright), so I did and I recorded the conversation which will also be presented on my website if legally allowed.

When speaking to him he started accusing me of lying and telling me thats it's impossible someone drive my vehicle. Then he started talking about the overweight and assured me that my trunk had contents that were over hundred pounds. I asked them if he had weighted the contents and he said no I don't need to weigh them I do this work for 10 years and can tell with my naked eye if it's overweight. So I asked him how do you know if a box has hundred pounds in it or 10 pounds in it by just looking at it??? He mumbled and said oh yeah I weighed the box. I told him a second ago you told me you did not weigh the box, do you have any proof of this ?!? and he said no he does not.

I saw this was going nowhere with this person and ended the conversation. Sure enough I had an email from a manager at NUMIS by the name of Dianna Z. she asked me to give her a call, for some reason they could not resolve anything over email. I called her and she started to negotiate with me, I told her I'm not interested in negotiating and that they need to pay back what they stole from me. She refused.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM, THEY WILL TRY TO SCREW YOU EVERY WAY POSSIBLE!!!!
