Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC Reviews

In 2011 I did a Hamp loan modification with them. They took the original $13200 mortgage and by the time they were finished I owed a whopping $162,000 on the mortgage and a $48000 balloon payment. That's $210,000, they racked up 79,000 dollars in interest fees, late fees, and attorney fees.

So, I filed for a save the dream refinancing(HARP), and mortgage reduction, the State of Ohio approved me for a bail out of $25,000 to help reducing my mortgage, Ocwen Loan Servicing opted not to participate in the program. But they did however tell them that I only needed $2900.00 to get my mortgage caught up. I was not behind! they (the State of Ohio)approved 2 months of payments @ 818.40, 1636.80, which has not been applied, and I have no idea what the other $1300.00 is to be used for.

I recieved a late notice in the mail for my September payment. When I called in to find out where the money is they, someone called Arnold; said he sees a note on the account but nothing has been applied, so no statisfaction, of course.

So now I have to wait till Friday to talk to the person who handles my account to get my answers. I constantly have to hold my breath every month waiting for something to happen to my payment. They always try to get you for late charges. I have had to appeal 3 of my payments this year because they were applied late, recieved on time, but applied late. Then you have to argue with someone who barely speaks English to get it reversed, this is crazy.

How is this company allowed to stay in business? How many law suits must be file?, How many time are they going to violate the terms of there agreements before the Government steps in.

I got a loan modification a few years ago. A couple of months into the modification I noticed "Optional" items showing up on my payments. As I was on an extremely tight budget, I called and asked what this was. Customer Service Representative (CSR) could not explain what it was, no shocker there.

I asked it be removed, they said I would have to contact agency. I asked what agency/company and she sad she did not have that information. I asked that it be removed and it was left on. Within a few months I had a couple more "optional" items show up. I again called and demand they be removed as I did request/consent to have these on here.

I tried to send in my monthly payment, minus these optional items, and had my payment returned. Called in again and demanded they be removed, was told i would have to contact the companies. I again asked who approved items to added to my account, and again, nothing but the standard scripted bullshit. I explained that if they did not get rid of the optional items I would have a hard time making my payments.

I talked with a "supervisor" that assured me he would get these taken off. By this time, I had to miss a payment hear the there as I aslo had 4 kids to take care of. They finaly got them off my acount, they wanted like $2400 lump sum. Explained I did not/could not come up with that amount of moeny at one time. Supervisor told me to wait until November when my modification would be at the 1 year mark.

I did as they asked and over the past year I have submitted the Modification Package 13 times. I have heard every excuse in the world (i.e. missing page(s), missing signaure(s) or date(s), they didnt receive it, envelope was damaged and pages missing, pay stubs no current, didnt get the email or attachments missing). When asked to send me what they had...NEVER got anything. They flatly refused to send me what they had so I could replace missing page or whatever the issue was. Always had to do the whole this over again.

They finally said they received everything only to deny the modification package. I have tried other place to get refinanced or modifiations and they will only deal with you if you have $100,000 or more in debt and really good credit. I'm now getting legal notices from a law firm about selling my house or pay almost $71000. I'm about to be another homelss veteran with a bad heart. I just want to make my payments the way I used to so I can stay in the house ive been in since 2000. Looks like im going to live in my car and lose all my possessions. Thanks to Ocwen adding "Optional" items that were not wanted or authorized.

My mortgage was formerly with GMAC who I never had a problem with but unfortunaletly they went bankrupt and the nightmare began when OCWEN took the servicing of the mortgage over. They are primerily a dept collection company and are registered in Louisiana as such but as far as a loan servicing company they suck. I paid my martgage off in January 2014 and am still waiting for the clear title, they continue to submit the wrong form to the courthouse to have the mortgage cancelled and recorded and nobody knows anything. It's been six months now and I'm having to get the state Attorney Generals Office involved.

You never get to speak to the same person twice due to their multiple outsourced locations and they basically tell you what you want to hear but do nothing, the department that supposedly is working on my case is not accessible so you have to go through their customer service department who in turn emails the information to them and you can only hope and pray that they act upon the email that's sent to them, what a way to run a company! The government really needs to step in and act on either shutting them down or forcing them to get away from the outsourcing but I seriously doubt that it will ever happen.
