Beware Office Depot brand furniture. The large tag on them says they have a 5 year warranty. The very fine print says it's only 3 years for the 'faux' leather on their chairs. They replaced the arm rest last year. They replaced the backrest 2 weeks ago. Now they refuse to replace the seat bottom and say I did not even deserve the parts they already sent me! Really? Obviously the quality of materials is very low. Very poor customer service and very deceptive warranty policies. I've spent my last dollar at Office Depot (and I have spent a ton on money there in the past).
I bought a Dell desktop for $360.00 that had a $50.00 rebate on purchases over $300.00. I paid for it with an Office Depot credit card. I received a letter from OD rebate department stating my purchase didn't qualify because it wasn't over $300.00, the last four digits of my credit card wasn't on the invoice, your request is for an invalid Office Depot personal credit card account. I took my credit card statement and the letter in to the local store and they were trying to find the problem, they asked for my receipt and I told them I couldn't find it, they immediately handed my paper work back to me, said we can't help you and they turned and walked away. The salesperson convinced me to purchase this 2 year premium worry free accidental damage free replacement plan for $150 . My laptop was damaged during our move by sliding off my trailer while parked in my drive and hitting the concrete.
I called in my claim and told them what happened and I added that I may have back over it afterwards but it's hard to be sure but it absolutely fell first, the rep sated it was not covered.
