Office of Financial Affairs Bankers Protection Bureau Reviews

Company said I owed National Pay day $1800. They called me from the following numbers: 402-875-6093 and 6094. They told me my ss#, address and name, but when I asked for more information they told me to "govern myself accordingly" because they were going to file a charge against me in court. I reached out to National Payday be email and they returned my email with this report:

We wanted to let you know that we have done a search in our system using your name, checking account and email address to find any possible account. It appears as though you did not receive a cash advance with NationalPayday.com and therefore do not owe any balance. In fact, you do not even exist within our system at all.

You may be emailing us in reference to a recent phone call, email or other communication you received. If that is the case, we believe that the following information will apply to you.

We thank you for bringing this to our attention. This matter is the subject of an ongoing internal investigation, and we take it very seriously. We believe that this is an international phishing scam originating in India fraudulently claiming to be affiliated or collecting on the behalf of various companies.

They are not affiliated with us in any way and did not receive any information about you from us.

It appears that they may be using affiliate sites to obtain names and phone numbers in attempt to achieve quick pay outs from unsuspecting consumers. We believe that you may have applied on one of these affiliate site’s websites that gave them your phone number.

The following company may be associated with this scam and has been identified as one Tact Evolution based out of Babylon, New York and has been known to use other aliases such as Law Crime Monitoring Division and/or American Credit Services.

We would like to reiterate that NationalPayday.com is in no way affiliated or associated with these people. They did not obtain your information from us. Based on our own research and investigation, we do believe that this is a call center phishing scam and advise you to not give them any information whatsoever.

They are attempting to get this payment information from you in order to fraudulently charge you; do not give them anything.

Furthermore, we would advise you to contact the proper authorities and provide them with any phone numbers associated with these calls to you, any names of representatives calling, and the name of the company they claim to be. If you do file a complaint, feel free to include the information in this email and to send us a copy for our records.

Lastly, because this is the subject of an ongoing investigation, any information that you may have may be useful as we try to get to the bottom of this and avoid anything similar from occurring to anyone else. A phone number, caller ID info, name, or anything you can think of may be helpful.

Also, can you remember if they said exactly “National Payday” or did they say something else? And can you please tell us when you last received a call from these people?
