Early December, 2014, needing to obtain Affordable Healthcare Act Compliant Insurance, I clicked and indicated this on an online broker's page and was contacted by LeSean Frazier from Optimum One Health. I told him my specific circumstances, particularly indicating I needed insurance which would meet ACA requirements. He asked what my budget was and called me back later with the Optimum One Health solution. He told me this policy would meet the requirements needed, and that my Primary Care Provider was more than likely in the provier list because the coverage is like a PPO and virtually all providers are included. I would be covered beginning January 1, 2015. If I had anyting come up in December, they would cover it as long as it wasn't a pre-existing condition. I set insurance to rest as I had been assurred by Mr. Frazier that this covered my needs.

I wasn't sent a copy of the policy, only two cards, and a member number and later, two prescription discount cards which are worthless. Ultimatley I contacted Optmum One Health, and they emailed me a membership letter and access to a "coverage guide." This is not insurance, although they present it on the phone as if it is, and then have a disclaimer read to you over the phone which no one in their right mind can absorb it is so rapidly read. They do not send premium payment books, and cancel you without notice if your auto withdrawal doesn't work.

Only yesterday, when I attempted to fill a presription at my local pharmacy, was I told that this provider is not insurance and I would have to pay full price for my prescription, $410.99 for 30 pills. As I am unemployed and have been for the past 18 months, paying outright for my very expensive prescriptions isn't an option. Until this time I thought I was covered as with my COBRA plan, as I had been assurred by Mr. Frazier, that I would be covered as I had in the past. What the SCAM part is, is that he told me all of ths information outside of his "official" sales call, which is recorded. He absolutely intentionally misled me to think this was an insurance plan, and he absolutely misled me to think that it was compiant with the ACA.

As a result of thinking I had acceptable coverage, and it is after February 15, I now have no affordable insurance for 2015 and no way to obtain it. I have been given a special exemption to go to the marketplace; however, those policies are such high deductibles that I will be paying both a monthly premium and for all my costs out of pocket for the entire year. And, I do not meet the requirements for obtaining a catastrophic policy only. Flat out, I'm just out of luck. Both obtaining insurance and my medications are now not possible due to my unemployed status. Thank you, Optimum One Health!

I am livid and want to get the word out to everyone possible that Optimum One Health is a SCAM, they tread a very fine line in their presentatons to keep from being outright FRAUD, and they are very good at what they do. They are affiliated with a larger source provider named Unified Caring Association, which is a "membership" organization of feel good, do gooders, whose goal is "to share as much information, tools and products that will enhance your life in a healthier and happier way." Their website doesn't provide much information as to who actually runs this organization.

Bottom line: Optimum One Health is at the very least shady and misleading in their representations of their company and what they provide to the consumer. I feel like I've been defrauded and cheated out of insurance for 2015 although they are cunning enough in their marketing schemes to cover most of their bases so they can't be sued. BUYER BEWARE!

They are selling the Optimum One Health as Major Medical insurance when in fact it is a medical "discount plan" The wallet card tht you receive say in a banner across the bottom "PPO Network & Member Insurance Card". Well, folks this is not insurance and at the end of the days coverers very little. You would be better off asking for an outright cash discount from the provider. The sales script for this plan is acrfully crafted and I am sure is legally compliant but just barely. the record you and ask you specific questions so that the contract is legally binding. the way thatit is sold is where the problem lies. You think you are buying health insurance and what you are getting is is a cash dicount on FULL RETAIL medical fees. No insurance co. pays full price and neither should you.

Novermber 4th l2013 I visited my Doctor for a check up. I called Optimum health care before the visit to make sure it woudl be covered, they said yes. At the doctors office, they called to make sure I was in network and that the visit would be covered, they said yes.

The next month i get three bills totally $1088. I called Optimum and they said that i was not insured. (i cancelled my insurance on 11/10/13 after the visit) Needless to say, I got stuck with the bill and its in collections while i still try to fight it.

After looking on line and reading the BBB and rip off complaints, I am certain this company is shady and should be reported.

After inquiring via phone and internet on 10-3-2014. I was contacted by the above numbers

She said she was a broker (Antionette Neal) and had access to all insurance policys - nationwide. But no individual policies were available right now…however she has a group plan of 40,000 via SIGNA MULTI PLAN PPO. But i would have to apply to the group as they only take certain people that are fairly healthy. She thinks I might qualify. Antoinette put me on hold and sent in my information and was excited to tell me that they had accepted me into their group. Only a few policies were available so I would have to join now or lose the opportunity. When they reach a certain number, it is CLOSED for the year. my insurance would have to begin on nov 24th instead of Jan 1. they have a 30 day waiting period so I could begin using on Dec 24th—only a few days before my current insurance expired.

The Multi Plan uses 'repricing' and 'cash benefits'. No co pays or deductible at all. The repricing reduces every bill 70%. The cash benefits apply on every bill. This insurance is accepted by 83% of all doctors and medical facilities. She walked me through the Multiplan online benefits to show me that my doctor accepts multi plan. This plan even includes dental. Can use any dentist and get one annual free cleaning and then 60% off all dental procedured. Even includes a 500,000 dollar life insurance policy at no charge. For online prescriptions she told me to go to 'pharmacychecker.com' which turns out to be a list of online providers.

I agreed to purchase this Signa Multi Plan PPO

Blanket Group Ins Plan --- underwriters: Freedom Life

confirmation# CXL1442 to begin on nov 24, 2014

by Antionette Neal - corporate # 877 203 3021 ext 307 direct line 888-589 0026 ext 307

Supervisor Account Mgr - Nay Parker 888 589 0028 ext 502

She instructs me to call my insurance provider and request a certificate of credible coverage and fax to her at 877 711 9968

Then I rec'd confirmation of insurance via email from

OPTIMUM ONE HEALTH- Freedom

I tried to call my agent back and the number is no longer in service

The direct line had recording that mailbox was full.

Nay Parkers phone was a working number and she told me to just ignore this confirmation from OPTIMUM ONE HEALTH. This is just the add on policy for dental, vision and hearing.

saw the ripoff reports and knew I had been scammed.

called OPTIMUM ONE to cancel and demand refund.

called my credit card company to alert them. An amount of 407.55 was already pending as well as an additional charge of 60.00 from 'Total Health Access' called my insurance company to cancel the request for certificate of ins.

I wish I knew a way to help shut this company down. What a shame this is going on! And what a shame that they train these young people to pretend to be insurance agents and lie to them to get their hands on their credit card information and their social security number.

And how sad that people are falling for the scam and wont even know until they need to use it to discover that they have NO insurance at all for doctors, hospitals or prescriptions.

In May my husband was laid off work. I looked for an affordable health insurance. Optimum One Health called me and told me that the insurance will include unlimited doctor visits prescriptions denta and visition.

Before I sugned up for the insurance I asked specifically if the doctors wek use are in the network. The sales representative checked it out and assured me that they are.

The sales representative never said that it is a limited plan and the doctors we use are not included in the plan.

I had an appointment for the pediatritian, a week before O had the appointment I called the insurance to make sure that everything is alright and I will be covered. they assured me again that there is no problem.

At the doctor's office it turned out that the doctor is not in the network, and if the insurance pay for the visit it is only $75.

Regarding the prescription plan it is only a discount not a full coverage. Instead of paying $7 for a generic drug they wanted $106.

This is not the information I got when I signed up for the plan, they deceived me.

Lost my job. Needed health insurance. COBRA was $1,500/mo for family. Googled Colorado Obamacare. Filled out a form and got a phone call from Optimum One Health immediately. Sales person sold me on a 'blanket group fixed indemnity' plan, which is NOT major medical, for $800/mo.

They force you to pay before they send you the fine print: Maximum surgical benefit = $6,250. Hospital stay =$1,000 per day. Here's a good one: remove breast tumor = $468.75 (Pretty sure my wife's breast cancer surgery was more like $13,000.

Then they have you affirm your purchase and record it.

I don't usually make a major purchase without due diligence. It sounded too good to be true, and after I read their 'benefits', I realized it was.

Don't buy anything that you don't get to preview :(

Optimum One health insurance sale rep said, insurance covered everything, when infact it is discounted. Said it was unlimited, when its really limited to 3 visit per year. ER Room benefit $1000 Accident benefit $4000, Hospital visited limited to $1000 per day. No MRI's only X-ray. It better than nothing, if the Dr will accept it . . thats next. Had to buy $500,000 in life insurance to get coveage, Spouse will probably need it to pay health insurance bills.
