Orange Van Lines, LLC Reviews

Orange Vanines originally quoted 2200 cubic Ft, over the phone, I knew there would be some give or take there. I asked the head guy at my pickup how many cubic ft when I heard a worker say they were almost done and there was still room in the frist truck. The head guy then said to the workers when I was in the other room, Dont say anything about the cubic feet or the load. He was lying when they were done and he said my furniture took up two trucks and totaled 3200 cubic ft. So now after almost 4 weeks waiting for my things, the truck pulls up and the first thing i said, was i want to see inside and see the cubic feet markings on the ceiling, he said no problem it read 2400 Cubic Ft. So now I am totally furious and call customer Service, if you can call it that, this Katia person in customer service who would not listen and only talked over me.

She is the ruddest person, She had the gall to say "why did I let them load your things, OK NOW that's a stupid question, since I didn't know what the final cubic feet until it was all loaded! She asked why didn't I say something sooner also, HMMM I have called three times and talked to some one in Dallas, and Nicole at customer service and told them all of this and she said I did not. WHERE ARE THE PHONE RECORDS!I asked Katia while the movers were standing right in front of me to speak to a supervisor and she told me she was it, i asked to speak to someone higher up and she said She was it.

When i asked her to listen to me she said NO, she was done listening and she hung up on me!

She said that I was to pay or they would take my stuff away and put it in storage. This company is a RIP OFF, They are Not Honest, or reliable!.

Now I have to file a complaint to get my money back

Do not use this company. They never showed up and they charged me and would not provide a refund. Have to go to court to get my money back.

Mathew Brady allegedly a senior relocation specialist came out to my condo to give me a binding quote. I felt pressured by him to sign the contract on the spot and I was clear that I thought he was too expensive and I was going to look around. He showed me all kinds of photos and testimonials which I now believe to be false. After this home visit estimate he continuned to call me relentlessly. Calls would start as early as 7:30-8:00 am. They would continue throughout the day. I believe he acted in a predatorial manner because he knew I was a single woman orchestrating a move from Los Angeles to New Orleans by myself. I made comments to friends and co-workers how creepy and inappropriate all his stalker calls were becoming.

This went on for weeks. I would simply not pick up the phone, then he started calling from blocked numbers. I picked up the phone the day the other moving company I paid a deposit to was supposed to come. I told him I went with another company. He went on to give me tips on how unprofessional other companies can be, what to look for and basically to call him back if anything goes wrong with the move and he will have professionals over to wrap my goods and get them to New Orleans on TIME!! As fate would have it, the other company did not show up the day of the move and called around 7pm. At this point, against my better judgment, I called Mathew back and gave him the job because I was in a bind.

He demanded payment immediately on a debit card and told me not to mess him up by deciding to go with the other movers if they showed up. He got my money and that was the last I heard of him. Two guys dressed in orange came over and drank all the beer in my fridge and tried to hide the bottles in the fridge and under the sink. They stank like alcohol and I brought it up to the foreman who offered to pay me for the beer! I called the company repeatedly to ensure my goods would be in New Orleans on March 5, since they picked them up over a month ago. I emphasized I had company on the 10th. They repeatedly assured me it would all be there. March 5, came and went and NO GOODS!! Then they changed their story and said they had 21 days from March 5 to get them to me.

NO ONE EVER SAID THIS TO ME. MATHEW and his crew of theives are not war vets as he pedals them to be noble heroes. He pedals false information to get the gig, gets the money and runs. This has been a devestating experience. I can't get anything in writing from these clowns despite their representations to have my goods here by March 10 so once again I am at the behest of their lies. They jacked up the price by 250 on site by a bunch of drunks and held me hostage..and I continue to be hostage to them as they have taken 3/4 of the payment and could care less about my delivery date coming and going. I want at least $500 reduction if and when I get my goods in good order to offset for all of the purchases I have had to make and my guests are considering canceling their trip to visit me. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! This man Mathew is a creep and a predator. Please help me get my goods and some accountability.

I was quoted on a 2 bedroom apartment to move from Baton Rouge to Arizona. The initial quote was 2,5550 based on what Jenny Muller said I would have in CUBIC feet. I don't know how to evaluate a cubic feet but I did tell her that I moved in a Uhaul of 26 feet, that was completely full. I also gave her the dimensions of the couch so she would have a better idea of what I was moving and how much space I would need. I told her the large items I had: couch, kitchen table and chairs, bed, etc, as well as a large quantity of boxes, large and small. The quote came to 777 cubic feet. I assumed she knew how to do her job and that the quote I was given was around the price that I was going to pay. I anticipated I may pay a little more because I didn't have a final count on the boxes. I received an email saying pick up would be between 2-4 but that same afternoon the movers called and changed it to 7pm. Then the movers came and he said it was going to be 1200 cubic feet and around 4000 DOLLARS!!!!! It was a complete bait and switch. They didn't move anything that night and only wrapped 2-3 items because it was raining. I was understanding of that. which I had to come the next morning at 7am and then spend 3 hours to move the items. Now I am trying to get some type of compensation for the time and complete under estimation of my quote. Looking back she should have started at 3,000. I think Jenny is incompetent. Do NOT allow her to do your estimate. What a terrible experience! You are better off using Uhaul and getting the movers they post on their site to help. Will update if compensation occurs. But I honestly am not counting on it.
