Rented property through Park Place Realty gave them a $1500.00 security deposit. After moving out I kept calling to set up a walk through as required by law with no response. They sent a letter with work sheets on what services were done. None were itemized and no invoices or receipt.
Requested the proper paperwork 2 times to no avail. The things they claim to have to fix were normal wear and tear. There is descrepancies in dates and receipts. They use people that are unlicensed to do work and pay cash under the table. They kept all the security deposit. I am now having to fight them through snall claims.
After talking to several people who have rented from Park Place Realty said to have a reputation of ripping renters off by not refunding the security deposits. They make up things to fix and clean. They also add stuff that is normal wear and tear, price mark up. How can cleaning a stove and the freezer cost almost $200.00.
Their business is shady in that they take advantage of people. Also they participate in rental skimming. The house was up for a short sale. Do not use this rental place for renting or buying any property. They are not honest and do not follow the Landlord Tenant law, so I am sure they don't follow the Real Estate Law.
