Paul Bennett Rentals

I am writing this report in agreement with the Angry Renter. I called Paul Bennett in regards to one of his rental signs.

When I spoke with this man, I was extremely polite, respectful, and professional. I was calling to help my daughter find an apartement.

I asked about the rental, how many bedrooms, what appliances it had, and if the rental amount included any utilities.

It was at this point that he acted indignant that I would even ask. He started protesting my requests for information.

He got angry, started yelling at me, and spoke to me in a very rude, hateful, and upsetting manner. He was extremely

hateful, rude, totally unfair to me as someone helping find an apartment for someone. He was very defensive in regards to

what his apartment rented for, and yelled that I would never find any apartments for less than his, and that I must not know

much about Columbia, because I know nothing about the amounts that apartments rent for. He actually got mad because I

felt that his one bedroom apartment was a bit high, and yelled so loud that I couldn't get a word in edgewise! Then in all of

his rude, hateful words to me, in the middle of all of it, he slammed the phone down in my face! I couldn't believe this

man would be so defensive, and professing his rentals as the absolute best and I would find nothing better than what he

had. I was so surprised at this type of Southern hospitality. I was appalled that he would act like this considering this man

did not even know me! I cannot imagine having this man as a landlord. I would definitely not allow my daughter to be in

any of his properties.
