I found Perfect Touch Autobody and Paint Collision (also listed as Complete Auto Body & Mobile Service and 682-241-2168) on Craigslist. The workers go by Steve or Paul. I want to send this warning so someone else does not end up in my position - scammed out of $550 and with a car that's not repaired.
After speaking with a few different auto repair shops, they seemed to be knowledgeable about my car and the repairs and followed up with me constantly prior to receiving payment.
There are hundreds of ads and photos with their "work". The job was to repair a dented hood and cracked bumper. They said they ordered the bumper and even called back with a quote.
We had spoken extensively over the phone and sent pictures of the damage. When they came to my house they advised that they could save me a significant amount of money by repairing instead of replacing the bumper. Steve took out a tool to meld the bumper together and advised that they had to return the next day to paint, align the bumper and add hood hinges. I paid them $550 and scheduled an appointment for the next day.
3 hours after our scheduled appointment, they wouldn't return my call. 6 hours after our scheduled appointment, "Steve" called to RUDELY ask why I was following up about the appointment. He began to say that he wasn't obligated to return since he already had my money, asked if I understood English, asked why I didn't know the name of his brother, Paul and hung up in my face. Of course I called repeatedly and he finally answered- he apologized and set a new appointment for the next week. That was 3 weeks ago. I have called, texted, left voicemails and they do not answer. I called anonymously and when Steve realized who I was, he hung up in my face.
I am now in the process of filing a small claim and will need to pay someone else to repair the damage they caused. DO NOT USE OR TRUST THIS VENDOR!
