West to this travel agency to book a long trip to China. Place was empty but one girl who spoke broken English. She was an interesting girl and I invited her for coffee to be friends during our discussion. She was responsive and said I could call her at work sometime. THe next day, I get a rude email from her coworker Grace DeVita indicating they canceled my trip itinerary and that I should never call the travel agency again! Super RUDE! What was just a friendly kind gesture to a middle aged woman who made returning overtures turned out to be a villinas order to them. On their business card they state that they are members in good standing with ASTA, American Society of Travel Ageents and while there they told me they were members of BBB. A quick check with both ASTA and BBB revealed that those two ladies are not members with either! Upon further investigation, I found numerous other complaints against them! In summary, a travel agent is a person with whom you need to bond trust with, particularly if you are traveling 11,000 miles from home. YOu need to have an agent you can rely on so that you do not have any surprises if and when you arrive on the other side of the world. THis company and these two travel agents in particular should be avoided at all cost. Otherwise, they may just cancel your return flight home, your hotel room or rental car because they do not like the color of your tie!!!
