Prestige Payment Systems - Bad, Bad, run away from the lies

This company will promise you anything and deliver nothing but fees. I was promised $500 to switch from my previous processor - lied. I was promised that the new hardware they would send would integrate with my POS system - lied, the equipment they sent now sits in the box it came in and I'm obligated to pay a monthly lease payment for 48 months. If you add the lease payment to all the rest of the fees, it's over 5% of all credit card fees. This is the worst company I have ever done business with, and to think they are a registered ISO of Wells Fargo Bank.

A salesman from the Sacremento, Ca. Office of Prestige Payment Systems lied to me and said the cancellation fee for our processing would be $250.00. He told us that he would credit our account with that amount should we want to discontinue with them.

We had our company up for sale and I told him I didn't want to be in a contract with high cancellation fees, as I was familiar with that since we had been in business for a while. He assured me that their was no risk since I would be reimbursed the $250...so as he stated "it would be a wash".

I also asked him about the equipment and he said its all included in one. Well, we did sell the business. What he said was a lie....they said we would owe them and the leasing company over $5,000.00 because we broke the contract.

The person over their complaints would not allow me to talk to the salesman...she was curt and non-bending and demeaning. I have talked to her several times and today she said I am not going to talk to you anymore regarding this manner.

This is a dishonest company that is ripping off people.

Prestige Payment Systems met with our company to offer credit card processing.

The sales staff lied about every detail and question asked: The rates would never go over 2% with all the fees including the $77 per month company fee, You can batch out as late as 7pm PST, If you want to cancel our 4 year term at any time, all you have to do is pay $250. The sales staff pointed directly at the end of the contract to show the $250 cancellation fee. They insert an additional contract in the middle of their contract and pretend that you are signing a cancellable contract when it's actually two contracts.

All the information stated above was a lie by this company.

You can ask them specific questions about the contract and they will absolutely lie. They stated rates would not ever go over 2%, an abosolute lie, They will tell you that if you want completely out of the contract you only owe $250 and you would actually make money since they are paying you $300 to switch. They will tell you that the company charges a $77 fee and this is how they make their money but if you want to cancel, it will only cost you $250. BEWARE: The company has TWO contracts merged together and you are signing up for two different contacts, ONE of which is a 4 year lease that they will lie and tell you that you can get out with $250 fee (right here at the end of the contract). There is no end of the contract, the lease is shoved in the middle of the contract and they will try to deceive you. Once you complain, they will tell you that they have talked to the salesman. They deducted $250 without our company writing a formal cancellation letter to avoid paying the additional $300 they owed us. THE MOST DECEPTIVE C/C PROCESSING OUR BUSINESS WE HAVE EVER COME INTO CONTACT WITH IN 12 YEARS.

I was contacted by phone to switch my credit card processing. Talked to a Peter Ringle. He assured me they were all "church going" people assuming that meant honest? Said I would pay no interchange charges that Prestige would pay those, yet interchange charges show on my statement each month.

Told me it would be only $69.00 per month but that is just the lease for the credit card machine which is a 4 year lease - unbreakable. I have tried to contact this company both by email and phone but have not talked to anyone or received a response. I sent a statement by fax to them when they called to recruit me again and told them i was unhappy but again no one has looked at it and let me know what they could do about it.

I wish I had not changed to their processing "service"!
