S &L Vacations, Inc. is all so known as Pro Travelers, Inc. The Owners of these two companies, according to internet resources are Stephanie McAlister and Laura Schiavo. They operate out of Kissimmee and St. Cloud, FL. They have phone solicitors call and offer Vacations at discount costs in exchange for attending a 90 minute presentation. The callers stated that it was not at all a timeshare related presentation and there was nothing to buy. They are just interested in introducing the resorts to vacationers in hope of them returning again over the years or sharing the resort with friends and family. We spoke to the sales person several times over a couple of days. We were promised a trip to any of the Sandos resorts of our choice, including airfare. We could take advantage of the trip anytime over a period of 18-months. We were told since they are going to attempt to impress us, our accomodations (room) would be in the Royal Elite section, for adults only with all the best of best amenities. We would also receive full body massage and other complete spa treatments daily, as part of our vacation program. All meals would also be included through a variety of on-site restaurants of various cuisines. We were promised that there was a variety of entertainment shows to attend nightly, which were also included. We specifially asked if there would be Mayan events and activities and were assured there were, plus we would also be able to go to the Mayan ruins during the week. We also specifially asked to take our vacation, which we decided to extend to a full week, at Sandos Caracol Eco Experience Resort. The sales person tried to discourage us from doing so. He stated they are very busy and on the go and we would be required to follow a strict program of exploring the forest and such. We would not have a chance to relax. He felt it was too strenuous for myself at 62 and my husband at age 69. He encouraged more of a relaxing atmosphere such as Sandos Playacar Beach Experience Resort. In our research it seemed this particular resort was a bit more crowded than some of the others, for a true relaxing experience. However, for the price we were willing to give it a try.

We took our time and checked out their web pages and those of the resorts. We spoke to the salesman a numerous times and everything seemed to be legitimate. We agreed to accept the offer which was only $1,000 for the week, including airfare. We gave the salesperson our Debit Card to charge our account, once we signed the agreement, which would be emailed to us. When we received the document it was pre-dated for Sept. 10th. This was the date of his first call to us and not even the day we finally accepted the offer. I noted the date of signature and the date our bank account was charged. Our account was charged on the 12th, immediately following our verbal agreement. We were told we had 15 days to back out of the agreement and not be charged. We took our time at signing the agreement signing on the 22nd,as we wanted to be sure we were not making a mistake. Later, I received a different copy of the agreement with a different signature and the dates of signature and bank withdrawal removed.

After submitting our signed forms we called to set up a date for our vacation, as instructed. There was no answer. I have called and called several times per week and no answers. I have left message after message and no one returns my calls. The website has also been removed.

I spoke with a Sandos representative and he said they do have S & L Vacations listed as one of their agents and he had been in touch with Stephanie McAlister over recent weeks through email. He stated he would contact her and have her get in touch with me. She has not done so. I filed with the Florida State Attorney Generals office over a week ago but, have not heard word one from them, either.

I was contacted by phone and given a sales pitch by a man named mike. sounded good to get free hotel in cancun with free airfare. deposit of $500 was to be returned upon completion of trip. i should have known better. tried to fulfill travel plans but the package was not able to be fullfilled. talked to a hotel in mexico. tried to get plane tickets. couldnt get anything done. called back the sales but was told pro travelors was out of business. talked to a laura schiavo and she said destination vacation was taking over their business and they were repaying the customers that couldnt get trip. talked to her several times. finally she said that all customers whose contracts were less than 6 months old have been repaid. however my contract was 7 months old and i would have to wait to get settlement in pendidng law suit. kept trying to contact them over last 6 months and nothing new. just a runaround. cant believe i fell for this scam but i guess others did also. cant believe the state or law enforcement havent done anything yet.

I purchased a travel package from a company called Pro Travelers after receiving a call from them, the package included an all inclusive stay at Sandos for 6 days 5 nights in a deluxe villa in Playa del Carmen Mexico. The package also included airfare for two. As a bonus a free 4 day 3 night trip to Branson or Orlando. The package cost $650, I was told we had 12 months to book travel and 18 months to complete travel. Well guess what, when I called to book the trip today and called the phone number listed I found out the phone had been disconnected and the com Pl any apparently no longer exists. I discovered this site by goggling Pro Traveler's name. I hope you will be able to help me get my money back!

Looks like a scam!

I almost never accept any type of vacation such as the one that Pro traveler's Inc. offered over the phone, but they caught me I a weak moment. I paid $799 for a week vacation with airfare and when I went to book it, all lines of communication had been severed!!! Surprise Surprise!! Guess I learned my lesson on the SCAM!!

Pro Travelers, Inc. Where are YOU

January 6, 2014, I purchased a 5 night -4 day trip to Westgate Flamingo Bay in Las Vegas including Air fare. This is a two year to use contract. Last week, January 30, 2015, I tried to contact Pro Travelers Inc and learned that the contact information I was given is no longer in service and no forwarding information was listed.
