Publishers clearing house, respectable name everyone knows, win a gazillion dollars for life etc.etc. NOT SO MUCH!!!!

The actual rip-off is the idiots like me that actually take the time to look at all of the overpriced crap they sell and are stupid enough to buy something.

The worst part is I learned this same lesson about this company years ago, and stupidly fell for the same thing again.

I ordered a piece of crap device that was supposed to electronically remove pests from your home, the price seemed ok, and I stupidly decided to order it.. with "NO PAYMENT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME"! Send no money now you will be billed.

After wating WEEKS for the junk to arrive at my door, i realized what kind of overseas overpriced crap I had purchased, but then remembered my past experience and chalked it up to my not paying attention and impulse buying.

THAT IS NOT THE COMPLAINT OR THE RIP OFF.

The rip off is the fact that the devices cost $15.96, and the shipping and handling was $11.98 RIP OFF!!!!

I did not notice any gold flakes in the carboard box, I did not see any fragile packaging materials, just standard packaging for chinese crap, (cheap box, smashed on the corners, and plastic bag with the devices, in them), they were also much physically smaller than the flyer implied , there were three in the box and it was about 5"x5"X 3",so postage was not the cause for the 11.98 shipping and handling because I doubt if the package weighed more than 6 oz.

AND THE RIP OFF CONTINUES.... After three weeks of waitng for this junk to arrive, I keep checking the mail for a bill... no bill arrives, unitl 9 weeks later, it says that i am past due, and that there will be an additional late fee of $4.50 on top of the overpriced crap, the astronomical shipping and handling charges, because the bill was due on the day I ordered this junk.

REALLY???? i AM GOING TO PAY THIS BILL AND SPEND AS MANY WAKING HOURS OF THE DAY AS I CAN POSTING, BLOGGING AND LETTING EVERYONE EVERWHERE KNOW NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY!!!!

Tired of the crap

I ordered a vegetable holder--it turned out to be a cheap piece of crap that was overpriced. The shipping and handling was exorbitant for the cheap, lightweight, piece of crap it is. Please, think before buying PCH merchandise-it just seems so cheap quality, overpriced, and, too much for shipping and handling.

Prior tome leaving him on the line ,he was talking about money and how I would pay the car taxes..ect.. a sum of $200.00. Scam Please Beware.

Publisher's Clearing House each year offers products to purchase when you enter their Grand Prize drawing and I'm here to WARN everyone of thier PRODUCTS SCAM.

I ordered two advertised products oniine - 1) Sewing Needle Kit advertised as easy to thread needles 2) a stain remover that comes in a spray bottle gauranteed to spray with the bottle upside down and gauranteed to remove the toughest stains that other agants won't remove.

Fistly, this was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on anything! You place your order online and they say they will send an invoice in the mail for payment later. The products took a very long time to arrive. The sewing kit was a tiny travel size kit, the needles were dark and tarnished. The needle "wheel" that rotates would not move so I had to break open the plastic wheel to remove the needles, thus I no longer had a wheel to store the needles. I was unable to thread any of the needles. End result - PIECE OF WORTHLESS JUNK!

The Spray Stain Remover was advertised as being able to hold it in any direction, even upside-down and it would spray. I turned it upside-down and it leaked from the nozzle everywhere. I tested the stain remover on a variety of easy and tough stains. It worked no better than using plain water and did not remove ANY stains, not even dirt that my washing machine could easily have taken out. End result - PIECE OF WORTHLESS JUNK!

And it gets even better! The products had been opened and I waited weeks later to receive my first and only invoice. Not only did they change the advertised price of the products which they doubled but they added excessive shipping charges and one would think the shipping would have been expedited with those prices! But, get this, I got just the one invoice that said my account was delinquent and I must pay immediately to avoid collections (and further charges) and they added a LATE FEE to my invoice. I've never been so mad in my life and ripped-off! Of course there is no phone number to contact PCH or email to resolve any issues.

Please, DO NOT fall for their scam! They overcharged me on the advetised product price and shipping charges, added a late fee and sent me products that were completely worthless!

Please, please, just avoid Publishers Clearing House at all costs. Don't sign up for their prize drawing either. You will get bombarded by endless emails every day to reel you in to thier other scams. Everything they do and stand for is a rip-off.

Publishers Clearing House keeps sending you a letter saying you have to buy one more thing to even have a chance to win. You buy that one more thing and then you get another letter saying ,one more thing . Until you have bought a bunch of junk and owe them 50 or 60 dollars you don't have.

It is a scam on old people that think they might have a chance to win.But they just take their money and they really don't have a chance to win.

On Dec 1, 2014 A Victor Hernandez contacted my mom saying she had won $1.800.000 and a trip to Hawaii for 2 persons if she would pay $3000.00 for taxes and service charges. She complied. The next day he called back saying he needed more money for something else. This continued for over a month. When we traced the phone number it turned out to be a phone number in Jamaica. He always asked for payment using "Paypal Green Cards" After taking $7500.00 and my verbally confronting him he quit calling. We have all corospondances {receipts, etc.) on record. We contacted the Oklahoma Attorney General, the BBB,and Publishers Clearing House. They all said we were scammed." Sorry theres nothins we can do"

I was called numerous times by a man with a heavy accent claiming to be "Michael Edward" from the Publishers Clearing House Prize Sweepstakes. He told me I'd won 2.5 million dollars, Mercedes and one years worth of free gas, and that I could choose any color. At first I hung up and he called again, I indulged him he could hardly explain his scam: told me that I needed to go to walmart to purchase a greendot money pack for $300.00 to give or send to someone whom would be delivering the check and the car. I told him walmart is 30 miles away and I am not going, if you need the 300 you should take it out of the 2.5 million then give me the rest. We haggled for a bit until he got tired and told me he would have to call me back.

I told him ok anything to get him off the phone, a few hours later he called back while i was searching this site. I decided to record the phone calls from 876-822-1531, 570-484-7104, 875-395-6575 and ingauge him in more conversation to see if I could get infomation to report to the police. He told me he had to go and eat dinner because he had been working all day, and his "MOM" had just finish cooking and he was hungry! When he called backs I'll get more information because he thinks I'm still interested, if he has the balls to show up I will have the police here waiting. Good luck to anyone else who gets a call from these clowns, don't believe a word they are saying. You should not have to pay anything to get a prize, unless your at at a casino; at least with them you get a drink.

I received an unknown caller id call from a Curtis White from Publishers Clearing House, he asked if i received a letter that they have been sending to me about five weeks ago to expect a UPS truck with a check for me so i told him send it to me i am home now. Curtis White said that since i did not receive a letter i had to call 209-207-3135 and ask for instructions on how to proceed. I called the phone # and a man said he was the CEO of PCH named James Black and i won $4.5 million dollars, $200,000 in cash and a 2014 Mercedes Benz Convertable, all i needed to do is send a Western Union Money Gram to Beverly Dixon, Wash., Dc 30285 for $175.15 i asked James White for the address of PCH and he told me 31063 Andrews Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90018. I contacted The real PCH and they told me it is a scam and reported it to the FTC and they will keep it on file too.

I received a shabby box from Publishers Clearing House with a bill attached to it. Presumably, there is a garden hose inside the box. I have since received another bill from PCH and now they are going to charge me interest in addition to the $32.93 they are already trying to extort from me.

I called the 800 # and spoke to a person named Adam. I explained to him that I did not want the item and that I had never finished the transaction online. Otherwise, I would have entered my credit card information. Instead I simply exited the site. Adam advised me that the site does not allow a person to cancel a transaction in progress and even if I exited the site it would beconsidered a sale, the merchandise would be shipped and I would be billed. He also told me that I could return the merchandise but would have to pay for return shipping. I refuse to do this.

I will gladly ship this package back if PCH will pay for the shipping. I do not feel that I should pay for something that I did not order in the first place. According to PCH the order # is and my customer # is . I do not want anything to do with PCH or their affiliates.

A package that was suppose to be delivered to me was sent to the Publishers Clearing House in St. Cloud by mistake. It has been confirmed that the package was delivered to them. I have contacted the USPS and they gave me what little help that they could.

I have written a letter to them with no response and have called several times and was told they would call back which they never did.

I would like them to reimburse me for the cost of the item since they can't seem to find the package. They claim they are still looking for it and it has been more than a month now since the package was delivered to them. They were responsible for the package and for seeing that it was sent on to me.

It has been very frustrating dealing with them and not fair that I should lose the money I have invested in the item because they can't seem to find the package.

Comment: I just received a phone call from 876-250-2690 and was told by

Michael Anderson - truck drive to contact Raymond Kennedy at 876-810-9201

to receive my Publishers Clearing House 955,500 and a Mercedes Benz but I

would need to go into a store and get card and put money on it. First he

stated to put $499.00 and then when I stated I don't have money he stated

to put $100.00 on it. To make a long story short, he ended up hanging up

on me because I started questioning. Is this a scam?

Publishers Clearing House advertises that ""a person needs not make a purchase in order to participate in it's sweepstakes."" A purchase would not increase the chances of them winning. That is b.s.! As a purchase (they should tell the truth) is that it does. How do I know? I received their contest/mail order letter. I had noticed the ""You have not ordered in a while, please reconsider."" Knowing this is how they come up with the prize money, I ordered and left the envelope on the shelve to mail. I received another contest entry in the mail.

Not wanting to waste stamps, I filled out the next contest entry (because I already ordered on the other entry), I did not order on this one. I put the previous envelope into the newest entry, sealed it and mailed it. That was about a month ago. Guess what?! I still have yet to receive my order!!!!! Which tells me that because P.C.H. did not see an order in that envelope, they tossed the whole entry out!!! Otherwise if they were abiding by their own guidelines (and not the lying scuzzess that they truly are) they would have opened a l l entries and saw my order and processed it!!! So now I know the rest of the story.

They sent me a email saying I won a million dollars and then they called me and tried to get me to send them a copy of my drivers license and $500 for the shipping cost. I knew right then it was a scam so I googled it and that's when I came up on this website. Thank god!
