I placed an order with a legit weightlosscompany for a free trial of 2 products. Several hours later I received an email stating my order was not placed properly and is canceled.
I then replied to that email and left my contact phone number.
Minutes later someone called meand on my caller identifier showed as California. A man with a strong foreign accent, hard to understand, stated my order wasn't placed andhe needed my credit card number so I could replace my order correctpy. I refused to do so and said th7s seemed out of the ordinary.
Previously to his phone call I had checked my bank account and saw my mo ey was already being processed from the legit company I originally placed it with. He stated that the mo ey was bei g credited back, but sstill needed my card info.so my order could be properly processed.
I hung up, I then went to the original website and called the number for customer service. My order was placed properly, everything was fine. They had no clue who was tryi g to do this, but they said dont do it.
So..beware. this is a scam to get your credit card info.
Exact same thing happened to me. He answered the phone "Hello?" And could not tell me what I ordered. Then said he would call me back in 5 minutes which I did not answer.
