Quality Relocation Services Reviews

Quality Relocation practices illegal, paperwork practices and lost Queen bed/Box spring and 13 boxes. I called Carlos repeatedly no return call.

-Don't ever use this company. We paid their full price in cash because they stated if we did credit card they would charge an additional 15-19% more and they lied about missing items. To not return a phone call about lost items is so disappointing.

My disappointing experience with the Quality Relocation Services started on Aug 3, 2013 at 3pm and they left resident at 1am on August 4, 2013. The move was 1 bedroom home. The disappointment resulted in me calling the Mgr Carlos at QRS and Kat at First Call Movers who was the Mgr at Referral Company. My Mother who is 83yrs old became critically ill and on a limited budget I got an estimate for her move. I contacted First Call Movers for a referral and estimate in July 2013 to move her personal items to Ga.

Below is a factual outline of my experience with QRS personnel Patrick mainly, Robert who broke off the doors in laundry room and tried to act like it was like that prior. Lastly, Carlos the manager at QRS refused to return phone call after they received requested cash funds of almost $5000 and knew all my items were not on truck but told me they were. I am currently missing a Queen bed, Queen box spring, coffee table and 13 boxes of family memories and furnishing. I have received no return phone calls from Quality Relocation Movers even though their driver stated mattress/box spring on another truck. According to First Call Movers Carlos stated he was unaware and would call me that same day which was 8/20/13. I have sent emails, texts and phone calls, No Response about lost items. Who would steal an 83 yr old woman's furniture? She cannot afford to purchase another bed.

I asked how many times items would be moved after packing. I was told by Patrick that the truck would be attached and next unload would be at my residence in Georgia. I have now learned

items were moved 3 times. Everything from the first estimate was total deception/falsified information. All details below were sent directly to Carlos and First Call Movers On Aug 5, 20123 (day after move). My daughter sent information via email. They both received msg.

Illegal Entry to home

*QSR employees Patrick and team arrived at house while I was at home depot. All the doors were locked and property is fenced. Patrick illegally trespassed on property by opening back door sliding glass door and proceeded into the property w/o approval of home owner. I asked him if door was open he admitted he had to go to the bathroom so he got in house via opening the back door. He wasn't wearing a uniform.

Illegal Papers

They started wrapping items when I asked about numbering items. Patrick asked what color I wanted to be. Many Items were already packed and on truck. I asked dont you put them on the item

Patrick proceeded to get me to sign papers that were blank or a page that had triple the fees for the move. Claiming his company gives you one to shock you and then the real number later. I proceeded to call both companies that night and reached no one. They told me someone was always available. Not true. Half the items were on truck and it was after 10 pm at night. Female alone with 3 men.

He stated First Call Movers make promises and when they get to job they normally double the amount and it works out ltr.. He stated my bill would probably be half of his quote $5600. I explained not agreeing to a triple number so I would put notes on all pages. He said that's fine. Every page states not agreeable to estimate.

Patrick told me the number of boxes and pcs didnt matter only the weight mattered. He stated I had more pcs but weight is what counts.

He never discussed 104 pcs with me that last night. He added that after initials and before he left and gave me carbon copies as he was leaving. Deception. I was never told 104 pcs until talking with Carlos the next day that he wrote it on bottom of page. Writing it on paperwork after signature is illegal, dishonest and a lack of integrity.

*Patrick was smoking and I told him I was allergic. He smoked outside in garage area but all the house windows, doors were open.

Told me if I used credit card they would add 15% upcharge to bill. Paid cash after they stated everything was accounted for on truck. Total Lie!!!

Consumer's Desired Resolution:

I want my items back or reimbursed based on the fact I was told my items would be delivered by another truck. I was also told the queen bed and boxspring was on another truck after payment received and truck unloaded. I had to tell driver mattress/box spring and 13 boxes missing. Now according to First Call Movers Carlos is denying being aware. They stated he would be calling. He has not called

After reviewing reviews on different sites this is obviously a company stealing people's personal property. God help them when he gets a hold of their lives.

The QRS van number 6 (poorly marked van) arrived at our home to pick up our belongings shortly after sunset on November 16, 2012.

The driver and laborer inspected the boxed items and furniture and began to label them. The driver (josh) ran out of labels shortly and requested a ride to the store to purchase some more labels. While we were away at the store the laborer was loading our items onto the truck. Upon returning to my home the driver continued to label items using orange, green, and yellow labels. When they began to load our furniture the driver told us that some of our furniture was not worth shipping because it would cost more to ship than what it was worth.

Even though the furniture was on the estimate it remained in the house. When they were moving the refrigerator through the storm door they failed to remove the chained spring to allow the door to open fully resulting in denting the entry door and damaging parts of the storm door.

While the driver was filling out paperwork he mentioned a 5 to 10 percent tip based on the cost of the load out. This was the first time I had used a moving service, so a tip was not anticipated. I gave the driver a $250.00 tip even though we were extremely strapped for cash. When the driver had finished the bill it was time to call my father- in- law to get the payment information for the driver. When my father-in-law heard that the new payment total was much more than expected there was a phone discussion about the binding contract with the broker. A resolution was finally reached after a lengthy conversation. The disagreement was about billing by cubic foot rather than weight. The driver told us cubic feet was cheaper. When I inquired

about an eta of delivery the driver quoted one week.

The next morning we spent the first half of our day running to and from goodwill to donate furniture we could not to haul ourselves. We were scheduled to leave early in the morning but had to remove furniture and clean the house because the real estate agent who already was in possession of a set of keys was coming over to take pictures that afternoon.

When we arrived at our destination, we waited for our load to be delivered in that week time span.

Later we were informed the driver had no authorization to tell us any schedule so we patiently waited for our stuff. The delivery schedule changed many times and we were forced to purchase merchandise we already owned.

Finally on December 14, 2012 our load arrived. Ten days late and in the dark the truck was unloaded. Someone elses items were mixed in with ours and the driver was immediately notified. These items were

returned to the truck. Due to the shoddy labeling on our bed frame pieces the driver almost didnt give it to us. The item number was written on the tape wrapped around the oak frame pieces.

When we did an inventory of our belongings we immediately noticed many item numbers were missing. A total of eleven item numbers are unaccounted for. Many boxes labeled fragile were crushed as though they were on the bottom of a stack with heavy items placed on top. Among the missing items are some of the most valuable loaded on the QRS truck in Wyoming.

When we attempted to find out if QRS was attempting to locate our missing goods all we got was the run around from them. I have realized that my stuff has been stolen and there is nothing I can do about it . Someone out there is in possession of some of my most treasured items. My experience with using movers was horrible, I will strongly recommend to anyone to use a rental truck for their move. I have found out the hard way that using moving services is not worth the extra money because your belongings will be treated without care, destroyed, and lost.

I have learned about a piece of literature that was not supplied to us at the pick-up point in Wyoming. Also we never received the non-allowable list from QRS. We were informed of items that will not be transported by the driver at time of loading.
