Back in 2006, I contacted a local man who I had heard installs replacement windows, which my home was in bad need of. He came into my home, took measurements, we settled on a price and he ordered the windows from his supplier, Quality Roofing Supply in Lancaster Pa. At $650.00 per window
The windows came in Oct of 06 and were installed. I was given a lifetime limited warranty and for a while I was happy with these windows. They tilted down for ease of cleaning and that was a BIG plus in my decision to purchase these windows.
HOWEVER, 8 years later a part broke and this installer and the company refuse to help me. The installer says he can't get any parts to replace and that the warranty doesn't cover anything unless it is deemed a factory defect. Now the warranty does cover the rollers , locking mechanisms and balances, but they refuse to do anything to help me. I tipped the window down to wash it and it came out of the Locking Cam, this is when I noticed that a part was broken on the other side. NOW the window wouldn't go back into the Locking cam and we had to pressure the window to go up so we could close it. The part that broke is the Terminal housing that carries the Locking cam.
I did find the part, I believe to be the one I need, online but I am waiting for a construction guy to come and measure the good part, so I'm absolutely sure it is the right before ordering the 2.50 part.
I recomment that NO ONE buy windows from William Rothweiler Co in Lancaster Pa 17603 or his supplier Quality Roofing Supply 737 Flory Mill Rd Lancaster Pa.
